Once Season One content drops in just over a week, Call of Duty: Warzone. Such a move most notably guarantees that the two worlds are coming together in a glorious way. Due to a recent delay, however, this particular collision is not happening as originally scheduled.
Developer Treyarch initially planned to unleash Black Ops Cold War's and Warzone's Season One on December 10. Late last week, though, the team told fans they would have to wait a few days longer for the new content release. Following the season's recent postponement, Season One is now on track for a December 16 launch across all platforms.
Given all that's on the horizon, players may find the wait well worth it in the end. According to a Twitter post from Game Designer new and deadly Scorestreaks are also on the docket. Plus, a subsequent tweet from the game designer revealed that "fan favorite" mode Capture the Flag is making its way to Black Ops Cold War, too.
Those who invest time in one or both of Call of Duty's recent outings have plenty to look forward to come next week. This is especially good news for players who are only exploring the franchise's Warzone offering, though. Simply put, new content is on the way for fans of the free-to-play game, complete with guns and attachments that are otherwise exclusive to a recently released, full-priced title.
That Season One will marry the two games together counts as yet another win for players across the board. Of course, as of now, it remains to be seen whether Treyarch can successfully pull off such a feat. Fans will be determine that much for themselves soon enough. Season One rolls out in just a little over a week on December 16.
