What is known is that a quintet of stars is attached to the project, and they are all heavy hitters who prove that the new movie might somehow manage to match Oppenheimer’s star power. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, and Matt Damon will all star in Nolan’s new movie . Nyong’o is best known for the Black Panther movies, A Quiet Place: Day One, and Us, while Damon has been a Hollywood leading man for decades.

Oppenheimer’s cast list managed to leave famous earlier lineups like the Knives Out franchise’s casts or the stars of the Ocean's 11 franchise in the dust.

Hathaway was most recently seen in 2024’s The Idea of You, but her earlier collaborations with Nolan include 2014’s Interstellar and 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises. Holland is famous for playing Spider-man, although he has also appeared in blockbusters like Uncharted and Onward. As well as playing Holland's love interest in the Spider-man movies, Zendaya has another blockbuster franchise under her belt thanks to the Dune series. Oppenheimer’s cast list managed to leave famous earlier lineups like the Knives Out franchise’s casts or the stars of the Ocean's 11 franchise in the dust, primarily because there were so many actors involved in the story. Thus, unless the director's next movie tells a similarly sprawling, immersive story, it is unlikely that Christopher Nolan will ever outdo Oppenheimer’s cast.
