Speaking to Extra at CinemaCon 2025, Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum jokes he may not play Gambit in Avengers: Doomsday. Channing Tatum was one of the names revealed in Avengers: Doomsday's cast announcement, leading fans to deduce that Tatum's Gambit would appear alongside other X-Men actors in the Phase 6 movie. "Personally, all I was guaranteed was a chair. They said that I have a chair, and I can at least watch the movie from the chair. You know, and it was just my name, it wasn't exactly Gambit. Otherwise, the X-Men variants who will fight Doctor Doom alongside the Avengers in Avengers: Doomsday could have their own Gambit, who'd be a second Gambit variant also played by Channing Tatum.
