The Challenge stars Jenna Compono and Zach Nichols just welcomed their second child. Jenna and Zach started their on-again, off-again relationship after meeting on The Challenge: Battle Of The Exes 2. Their relationship was initially short-lived as the two split due to Zach’s infidelity. Jenna and Zach reunited once again after filming The Challenge: Invasion of Champions. Despite trust issues and additional allegations of cheating, Jenna and Zach got married in March 2021. They welcomed their first child, Anthony, in September of the same year.

Jenna and Zach recently announced the birth of their second baby. According to Jenna’s Instagram post, their baby girl, Liliana Marie, was born on December 27, 2022, at 5:47 a.m. Liliana weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and measured 20 inches long. Jenna and Zach revealed they were expecting baby number two in June 2022 with an Instagram announcement that featured Anthony. Throughout Jenna’s pregnancy, she posted many updates about her pregnancy, the new baby’s nursery, as well as the sex of the baby. ​​​​​​

The Challenge star Zach Nichols' Baby Announcement Gets Mixed Reactions

A second image showed the new dad of two holding his baby girl at the hospital, and a third image was a close-up of the newborn dressed in a festive red onesie while on a matching red blanket. Zach captioned the images quite pointedly, writing, “I can’t wait to show her future boyfriends my gun collection. Welcome Liliana Marie." While the overall tone in the comments section of Jenna’s post was positive, Zach’s post was not as well received. Comments from Instagram s included, “As a mama bear it's not cool to put a gun in a kids face and I don't think you wanna deal with mamabears after pulling a gun out on her child....that trend is stupid.

Despite the negative commentary from the public on Zach's post, the announcement was also met with excitement and love from their fellow Challenge cast and fans. However, the negativity that stemmed from Zach’s reference to his gun collection does not come as a surprise as he has come under fire for his conservative political views in the past. Fans have called out Zach for his views on the COVID-19 vaccine, his alleged for former President Donald Trump, and now it appears the birth announcement for his daughter.

While some fans came to Zach’s defense and pointed out that the comment is a figure of speech intended to express his protective and loving nature, others pointed out Zach’s past negative behavior towards women on The Challenge. Several individuals highlighted the irony of Zach having a daughter he would one day need to protect against men just like him. Despite the mixed reception from The Challenge fans, Liliana’s birth marks a very happy occasion for the growing family.
