Considering where season 1 left off, Call of the Night season 2 will adapt the next arc of Kou and Nazuna's conflict with detective Uguisu, which was covered across volumes #6-#10 of the manga. Call Of The Night Season 2's Director Is a Great Sign For The Anime

While nothing substantial about Call of the Night season 2 has been revealed, season 2's director is a great sign of the quality that can be expected. Going right along with the season 2 announcement, it was confirmed that Tomoyuki Itamura, who directed Call of the Night season 1, will be returning for season 2, guaranteeing the same level of quality in its animation and overall direction. It's all too common for anime to suffer from changes in their staff, but fortunately, Call of the Night is primed to avoid that.

Tomoyuki Itamura staying on as director is especially good because of the style and flair he brought to Call of the Night. Owing to his years of experience working on the Monogatari series, Tomoyuki Itamura's direction gave Call of the Night very engaging and all-around gorgeous animation paired with a stunning neon color palette, all of which emphasized the story's central conceit of how fun the nighttime can be. Tomoyuki Itamura was the perfect director for Call of the Night, and he's bound to do wonders with bringing season 2's story to life when it eventually releases on HIDIVE.
