Thankfully, Jaime's old friends have transferred to Palmera State University, though Jaime notices something strange is going on with Brenda. Back at Kord Industries, the elder Blue Beetle is repairing the damage his fight with the Men did to his ship, the Bug. But a mysterious foe wearing a red Scarab destroys the lab and attacks Ted, leaving the hero for dead.
