Blitz, Saoirse Ronan's new World War II movie, has become a streaming success. Written and directed by Steve McQueen, the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind 12 Years a Slave, the new film follows a young boy who is sent away to evacuate London during the Blitz, but defies orders and embarks on a daring journey back home to his mother, encountering a series of dangerous, Dickensian figures along the way. Saoirse Ronan and Elliot Heffernan lead Blitz's cast, the latter in his film debut, alongside Harris Dickinson, Benjamin Clementine, Kathy Burke, Paul Weller, and Stephen Graham.

Now, shortly after its release on Apple TV+, Saoirse Ronan's new World War II movie has become a streaming success. Blitz ranks fifth on Reelgood's Top 10 movies chart on all streaming platforms for the week of November 21–27.
