Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is on the cusp of entering its fourth and final season. With a slew of original content set to accompany season 4, even veteran fans won’t know what to expect from it, and for fans old and new, there will be no better way for Bleach to end after its brilliant resurgence over the past few years.
While the Thousand-Year Blood War is Bleach’s final arc, Bleach’s narrative has carried on in a variety of forms, most notably the sequel novels WE DO knot ALWAYS LOVE YOU and Can’t Fear Your Own World and Burn the Witch, a new manga by Tite Kubo taking place in the same universe that’s already received a few animated specials. There are plenty of ways for Bleach’s story to continue after Thousand-Year Blood War, but whatever the case, Bleach’s anime needs to adapt one story in the future if it wants to keep going after the Thousand-Year Blood War arc.
Bleach Already Has A Sequel To Thousand-Year Blood War Ready For Animation
Bleach's Echoing Jaws Of Hell Arc Explained
Five years after Bleach’s finale, series creator Tite Kubo returned to the series to celebrate Bleach’s 20th anniversary with what appeared to be a one-off story, but in actuality, it was a prologue to a brand-new arc revolving around an invasion of the denizens of Hell, some of whom were Soul Reaper captains sent to Hell to maintain balance between the realms. It was a development no one saw coming, and overall, Bleach needs to animate the Echoing Jaws of Hell arc to properly continue the story after Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War ends.
Even after four years, there hasn’t been a follow-up to the initial prologue to the Echoing Jaws of Hell arc, so that presents an obvious problem. However, an adaptation can easily wait until Tite Kubo properly returns to the series; alternatively, since Kubo has been involved with Thousand-Year Blood War’s production, he might decide to forego the manga and have the arc told entirely through animation. Whatever the case, there are plenty of ways for an anime adaptation of Bleach’s new arc to work, despite its lengthy hiatus, and hopefully, it won’t be long before something comes of it.
Why Bleach Needs To Give Its Hell Arc An Anime After Thousand-Year Blood War
Why Echoing Jaws Of Hell Will Be Great For The Bleach Anime
Bleach’s Echoing Jaws of Hell arc is primed for an anime adaptation, and overall, it would be great to see. Even fans of the manga will, naturally, have no idea what to expect from the arc thanks to its lack of development, and because of that, an anime adaptation of Bleach’s Echoing Jaws of Hell arc would be great because it would allow every type of Bleach fan to be surprised by what they see. Any new Bleach content will be great on its own, but that level of surprise could elevate the series to heights hitherto unheard of.
Thanks to the anime’s stellar revival, Bleach is the most relevant it’s been in over a decade, and the quality of the anime makes it more than deserved as well; Bleach is the most popular it’s been in ages, and as such, Bleach’s anime needs to continue with the Echoing Jaws of Hell arc, or any other story, to further capitalize on its renewed popularity and make it a mainstay in anime once again. Anything that can be done to keep Bleach’s story going would be great to see, and hopefully, the anime won’t hesitate to capitalize on that.
