Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 4 will be starting soon, and it's bringing a good amount of new content to the game. There will be updates to multiplayer, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Zombies modes. In addition to all this new content, Ranked play is also on the way in Season 4, which will launch at different times for different modes.
Season 4 is themed around Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's recent story development of Adler and his team breaking former antagonist Stitch out of a CIA black site in Iceland. Many of the new maps introduced to multiplayer this season are modeled after major moments in this new story. The changes coming to Zombies and Warzone are unique to those modes and don't really have much to do with the overarching narrative of Black Ops 6.
When Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 4 Starts
Season 4 Starts Thursday, May 29
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 4 starts Thursday, May 29. The update will go live at 9 a.m. PT on all platforms. This is a pretty quick turnaround from Black Ops 6 Season 3, as the previous season's delay seems not to have been factored into the release date for Season 4. So long as Season 4 releases on schedule next week, I would expect it to be closer to Black Ops 6 Season 2 in length. This is also evidenced by some in-game events going as late as July 17.

How To Get All The Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Blaze of Glory Event Rewards Quickly
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is back with another event, and you can easily earn all of the rewards in record time with some quick grinding.
Call of Duty's official announcement for the season specifies that there is a slight difference between content expected to be out at "launch" and within the "launch window." According to the site, the launch window refers to the first 72 hours after the new season goes live, meaning some of the new additions will be rolled out over the course of a few days instead of all at once. There is also additional content that will come later in the season, which is typical of how new Call of Duty updates work.
New Maps & Modes In Black Ops 6 Season 4
There Are Five New Multiplayer Maps Coming In Season 4
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's multiplayer mode will be getting five new maps. Three of these maps will be included at launch, while the following two will be made available at mid-season. These include four new maps tied into Black Ops 6's new storyline of Adler and his team breaking Stitch out of a CIA black site in Iceland. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 map, Fringe, is also getting a reimagining in Season 4, which will come out mid-season.
The three new maps available at launch are Shutdown, Fugitive, and Blitz, each depicting a different part of Adler's mission. Shutdown is a hydroelectric plant the team breaks into to cut the power at the CIA black site where Stitch is being held, Fugitive is the black site itself, and Blitz takes place at the site of a multi-car accident caused when Pantheon reinforcements arrive to try and stop Adler and his team. All maps are available in six-on-six mode and Shutdown and Blitz are small-sized while Fugitive is medium-sized. Blitz is also small enough to be used in two-on-two.
The mid-season map, Eclipse, is another small map that can be used in six-on-six and two-on-two modes. This map is a nightclub complete with dance floor and light effects, which I'm assuming will help add some extra excitement to the already fast-paced action you can expect from smaller maps. The new version of Fringe seems to have been reimagined to fit with the rest of the season's Icelandic setting, presenting a small European town street instead of the original's more industrial area. However, the layout seems largely the same as the Fringe players are familiar with.

Latest Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Map Teaser Hints We Are Headed To Richtofen's Mansion
Treyarch has given a first look at the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies map, and it appears leaks may have been right about the location.
Season 4 will also introduce three modes to multiplayer in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The one available at launch is Team Elimination, a slightly altered version of Kill Confirmed. You still take out the enemy and collect dog tags, but instead of adding up points, claiming dog tags reduces the number of reinforcements the other team has. Your goal is to wipe out the other team completely, or at least have more overall lives remaining when the timer runs out.
One in the Chamber will also be back at some point during Season 4. This popular mode gives players the bare minimum to work with: a knife, and a pistol with a single shot. You only have three lives, and the only way to get more bullets is by taking out other players, so this is a fast-paced mode that can get pretty tense.
The last mode Season 4 will introduce is Party Ops, expected some time around mid-season. This will be a limited-time mode where players complete randomized mini-games to earn points and try to have the highest score by the end of the match. This is a new mode, so it's hard to say how it will play until we get more information on what exactly the mini-games are.
Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 4 Updates
Grief Mode Is Coming Back To Zombies
Perhaps the biggest change coming to Zombies in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 4 is the return of Grief mode. This competitive zombie mode previously appeared in Black Ops 2, but hasn't returned until now. Grief pits two teams of four against one another to see who can survive the longest against hordes of the undead. While you can't directly damage the other team, your team can collect debuffs to make it harder for the other team to survive.

Black Ops 6's Shadow Hunt Event Is A Step In The Right Direction, But There's Still Work To Be Done
The new Shadow Hunt event in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is an improvement over previous events, but the game needs to go further for future events.
There are also two new limited-time modes coming to Zombies mid-season. Starting Room is a mode similar to the first ever Call of Duty Zombies map. Instead of exploring a large area, players will be locked in the small starting section of a map and tasked with surviving as long as they can. The other limited-time mode is Abomination, which sounds like a typical Zombies game at Liberty Falls with the addition of an extra-powerful Abomination to contend with.
Zombies mode is also getting a new Ammo Mod called Shatter Blast, which gives all your bullets a chance to explode and destroy enemy armor. There are three major and three minor augments you can get to upgrade Shatter Blast and make it more effective. There are also three new GobbleGums, the effects of which can be seen below:
GobbleGum |
Effect |
---|---|
Explosive Flourish (Epic) |
Reloading creates an explosion around you for the next two minutes. |
Flavor Hex (Legendary) |
Activates a random Ultra GobbleGum |
Rainburps (Whimsical) |
Zombies burp rainbow bubbles when killed for the next three minutes. |
Finally, sometime during Season 4, Zombies mode will be getting the Grim Reaper. This is a semi-automatic rocket launcher that was a Scorestreak reward from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. You'll need to earn the ability to use the Grim Reaper through the Rivals event, which starts June 12 and ends June 26.
Everything Coming In Warzone Season 4
Warzone Is Getting A New Point Of Interest And Some New Modes
The main map for Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 4 is still Verdansk, but it will be getting a new addition. A large skyscraper called the Overlook that you can explore inside and out has been added to the map. It reminds me a bit of Nakatomi Plaza from Warzone's Die Hard crossover back in 2021. There are functional cranes near the building that you can capture and operate to pick up supplies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies - How To Get Death Perception and Augments
Death Perception is a new Perk you can get in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, with several Augments you can unlock to make its buffs much stronger.
Clash mode is also coming back for a limited time at launch. If you haven't played before, this is a 52-on-52 Team Deathmatch set in Verdansk which essentially turns Warzone into a massive Call of Duty multiplayer match. Clash matches don't span the entire map, but instead take place in certain sectioned-off areas to avoid matches lasting too long.
There are also two mid-season game modes, Havoc Royal (which is a limited-time mode) and Resurgence Casual. Havoc Royale includes different modifiers that mix up the typical gameplay and force players to adapt to ever-changing scenarios. Resurgence Casual is a typical Resurgence mode but with a mixture of real players and bots to make the experience a bit easier for more casual players. Overall, there is a lot of new content to look forward to in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 4.
