returned to once players have beaten Black Myth: Wukong, or even by simply revisiting past locations, there is some side content that's completely missable. These boss fights must be triggered in a specific way in order to appear, otherwise, they're locked from the player forever.
While players can always defeat them in a New Game Plus save, it's understandable that many would rather face them on their first playthrough. As there are missable bosses throughout Black Myth: Wukong's chapters, it's important to know going in what can be missed. Fortunately, the list isn't particularly long, ensuring players won't have to go out of their way too much in order to find and beat them all.

Black Myth: Wukong - How To Find & Use Mind Cores
Mind Cores are essential resources in Black Myth: Wukong. Mind Cores are used to craft Celestial Medicines and upgrade your many stats.
The Wandering Wight Boss Fight (Forest Of Wolves Area)
Chapter 1
The Wandering Wight boss is one of the first optional boss fights in Black Myth: Wukong, as players can simply run straight past it if they find it is too hard to beat. This is definitely a challenging encounter, especially in Black Myth: Wukong's early game. The Wandering Wight has several powerful attacks, including one where it charges at the player before attempting to catch them in its clap, a large stomp attack, a swipe attack, a staggered shock wave move which shoots rocks into the air, and the ability to fire a deadly beam of light.
Players who encounter the Wandering Wight will likely find it is tough, so skipping it and coming back later makes sense. However, players who lock themselves out of the Wandering Wight boss fight are missing out on one of the most powerful transformations in Black Myth: Wukong, which sees them shift into the Wandering Wight and deliver a powerful headbutt attack that can stagger enemies and knock down certain walls. Additionally, without it, players will lose a way to get the incredibly rare Loong Scales, which are needed to unlock some of the best hidden boss fights in Black Myth: Wukong.
Players can still get the First Prince of Flowing Sands to headbutt the wall to the Loong Scales if they trick it during the boss fight. Alternatively, if players unlock the Azure Dust Transformation, they can use it to deliver several light and heavy attacks to the wall that will break it after a short while.
The method in which players lock themselves out of the Wandering Wight boss fight is connected to the three bells players can ring in Chapter 1. Ringing even one of these bells before defeating the Wandering Wight boss will lock players out of the fight, as will fighting the boss Elder Jinichi, the golden version of the Wandering Wight, first. It's unfortunate there are so many missable boss fights in Black Myth: Wukong, as players can skip them without realizing it, but fortunately, there are ways to avoid missing them in either a New Game Plus save or a first playthrough.
Apramana Bat Boss Fight (Bitter Lake Area)
Chapter 3
The second missable boss fight in Black Myth: Wukong is the deadly golden bat-like creature, the Apramana Bat. This is a fairly challenging boss fight that sees the enormous winged beast fly down and battle the player before being defeated and flying off in disgrace. It'll use everything at its disposal to wipe the player out, including slashing them with its wings, leaping up and crashing down, and swooping down from above, whacking the Destined One to the floor if it hits.
Defeating the Apramana Bat is crucial, as it gives players one of the best Transformations in Black Myth: Wukong, the Apramana Bat Spirit. This transformation sees the player leap into the air, thus dodging any attacks from below, before launching gusts of wind that deal frost damage. It's a very powerful ability, one that is worth unlocking as it offers both defensive and offensive capabilities, and has the ability to completely freeze an enemy if the Frost gauge is maxed out.
The way players can miss the Apramana Bat boss fight in Black Myth: Wukong is by heading on to the next Shrine after encountering Zhu Bajie for the first time at the end of Chapter 3. Doing so, without fighting the Apramana Bat boss first, will completely lock players out of that boss fight and, thus, the Apramāṇa Bat Spirit as well. The Apramana Bat boss fight is located in the Bitter Lake region and can be found by heading north from the North Shore of the Bitter Lake fast travel point.

What Happens To The Destined One In Black Myth: Wukong
The Destined One's journey in Black Myth: Wukong sees him overcome plenty of trials, but the ultimate payoff for his adventures might be worth it.
The Scorpionlord Boss Fight (Purple Cloud Mountain Area)
Chapter 4
The Scorpionlord is a deadly secret boss fight in Black Myth: Wukong that players can completely miss if they're not careful. It offers quite the challenge, with the drunken boss awaking from his slumber before lunging at the player and using its powerful stinger and claws to defeat the Destined One. Players need to look out for its stretchy stinger, which can hit from quite far away, as it will use it in multiple combos and even sweep the floor with it, and its claw, which can land powerful and devastating blows that'll knock quite a chunk of the Destined One's health bar.
By missing the Scorpionlord boss fight, players will lose out on the Black Myth: Wukong's many powerful spells will need a lot of help against future boss fights, with this particular gourd giving players who are prone to taking a couple of hits plenty of chances to heal up before leaping back into the fray.
Players can miss the Scorpionlord boss fight by fighting and defeating the Duskveil boss first before finding the Scorpionlord. As both of these enemies are found in the Purple Cloud Mountain region in Chapter 4, it's surprisingly easy to miss one and not the other. However, players who encounter the Duskveil first before finding the Scorpionlord will be completely locked out of both the boss fight and the Stained Jade Gourd for the rest of the game and will be forced to restart or use Black Myth: Wukong's New Game Plus feature to try it again.
The Duskveil is the main boss of the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area. To reach it, players must first head to the Cloudnest Peak Shrine and then head up the stairs. At the top of the stairs is an arena in which the Duskveil boss is located, so avoid going up there if the Scorpionlord hasn't been defeated yet.
Daoist Mi Boss Fight (Purple Cloud Mountain Region Area)
Chapter 4
The Daoist Mi boss fight in Black Myth: Wukong is another missable boss encounter in the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area in Chapter 4. This is a multistaged fight, with players first having to retrieve an item for the boss before then fighting both of his forms. Its first form is relatively easy to defeat, as it only uses its sword to swipe at the player, and it moves relatively slowly, unlike its second form, which is quicker and uses both its large head and poisoned blade to deal damage to the Destined One, proving to be a much tougher adversary.
For defeating the Daoist Mi boss fight in Black Myth: Wukong, players get the Violet Hail Transformation, a powerful and worthwhile reward. The Violet Hail Transformation sees players turn into the Worm Guai, making them entirely immune to Poison and giving them the Filthy Malice Unique Talent, which increases Poison Damage, and the Self-Torment ability, which wounds the player while imbuing their weapon with larvae, which latch onto an enemy and can be detonated by using the Hive Mind Spell. It's arguably one of the most powerful Transformations in Black Myth: Wukong, and well worth defeating Daoist Mi for.
The Violet Hail Transformation is definitely a more advanced Transformation in Black Myth: Wukong, and it is only worth using for players wanting to focus on a poison build. However, it's still worth hunting down anyway to expand the possible options in combat.
Players will miss Daoist Mi by fighting the final boss of the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area in Black Myth: Wukong, the Duskveil. This is exactly the same as the Scorpionlord, as both of these bosses are inexplicably removed from the game if the player rushes straight for the Duskveil at the end of the area instead of fighting both of them on their way there. This is incredibly frustrating but easily avoidable if players go north up the stairs when they reach the Petalfall Hamlet Keeper's Shrine in Black Myth: Wukong, as this is where Daoist Mi is located.
