Summer 2025 will be filled with tons of new and returning reality series, and here are eight shows viewers can get excited about, including Big Brother. Along with the competition show returning for season 27 on CBS and Paramount+, Julie Chen will also be returning as host. However, Big Brother is not the only reality show on the schedule this summer.

Networks that will be releasing brand-new unscripted series include TLC, Bravo, and Fox, among others. Some fan-favorite shows will be returning while others have been left off network schedules. Audiences had anticipated being able to watch Claim To Fame season 4, but ABC left the competition show off its schedule for summer 2025. While Claim To Fame may have been canceled, fans may have to wait a little longer for the next season. Which reality shows can fans watch this summer?

8 Big Brother Is Returning For Its 27th Season

The Show Has Been On Since 2000

Big Brother is one of the longest-running reality shows of all time. Unlike most shows, which finish filming before airing on TV, Big Brother does things differently. While audiences are tuning in three days a week to watch the drama unfold on the social experiment, the cast are living in the Big Brother house playing the game live.

Viewers can tune into the Big Brother live feeds on Paramount+ to watch the houseguests game, strategize, and lie around in real time. However, the feeds get cut during important moments, such as competitions and nomination ceremonies. That being said, fans can still get a much clearer picture of each cast member's gameplay than on similar shows.

Actor Jerry O'Connell filled in as host, and Julie returned the next week to thunderous applause.

New twists are introduced every season, and last season, the main twist was called the A.I. Arena. Instead of two nominees each week, the head of household nominated three houseguests, and a live eviction-night competition would save one, leaving the house with just two remaining players to vote for. Due to the success of the A.I. Arena, Julie told Us Weekly the twist may return for another summer.
