Sheldon Cooper is that one character on The Big Bang Theory who isn't funny to any of his friends but is hilarious to the audience. Raj, Leonard, Howard, Penny, and Bernadette (Amy loves Sheldon too much to say he's not funny) don't care for Sheldon's selfish ways, so none of his funny moments are found comical.
Sheldon's dry sense of humor and naivety also makes it hard for his friends to even know when he's making a joke. To help everyone around him, he started saying "Bazinga!" to let people know when he was kidding. Him saying "Bazinga" is the same thing as saying "just kidding," but with a Sheldon twist. To see 10 of Sheldon's best bazinga moments, keep reading.
Howard: "So You're Saying The Two Of You Will Be Sleeping In The Same Bed?" Sheldon: "Yes... Bazinga."
In the third season, Sheldon tells Leonard he's having a friend stay at their apartment while she's in town for work. Dr. Elizabeth Plimpton isn't just brilliant, she's also beautiful, which makes the entire ordeal odd. Since when is Sheldon okay with having women stay in their apartment? While the gang is eating in the cafeteria, Howard asks some questions to get to the bottom of things. When he asks Sheldon if they're be sharing the same bed, Sheldon says yes... before pulling a bazinga.
"I Always Wanted To Go To A Goth Night Club... Bazinga!"
In an attempt to attract a different crowd of ladies, Howard and Raj planned on going to a gothic night club. To fit in, the guys wore all black, put on eyeliner, and had fake tattoo sleeves.
Leonard and Sheldon knew their plan was going to fail but instead of saying so, Sheldon said he "always wanted to go to a goth night club." When Howard says "Really?" Sheldon hits them with a bazinga.
"Not To Worry. I Hid It. Bazinga! You're In My Spot"
When Sheldon takes Leonard, Howard, and Raj with him for his string theory experiment in the Arctic, fans see that the guys designed their small residence exactly like Apartment 4A. The couch, chairs, and kitchen are all relatively in the same spot.
Over in the kitchen, Leonard whipped up some evaporated Thai food. As per usual, Sheldon is asking him 10 different questions about how his meal is prepared. But when Sheldon asks if Leonard used brown rice over white rice, Leonard apologizes and says he couldn't find it. But don't worry — it was a classic Sheldon prank. Bazinga!
"Bazinga! You've Fallen Victim To Another One Of My Classic Practical Jokes. I'm Your Boss Now. You May Want To Laugh At That."
When Raj worries about being deported after ending his job with Caltech, Sheldon (shockingly) hires Raj to work for him so he can stay in the country. But instead of simply giving his dear friend the job, Sheldon made Raj interview for it.
The interview went awry, of course, but it was all a joke. After judging Raj for his choice of clothing, Sheldon said "bazinga" and reminded Raj he was the boss now.
"Why Did The Chicken Cross The Möbius Strip? To Get To The Same Side — Bazinga!"
After Sheldon won an award, his fear of public speaking set in. His friends tried helping him with his fear but it didn't do too much. By the time the event came around, Sheldon was filled with nerves. To help him relax, Penny gave him wine until he was drunk enough to spout nonsense onstage. Before mooning the entire audience, Sheldon thought it was a good idea to tell a "why did a chicken cross the road" joke. Sadly for him, his joke fell flat — even with the added bazinga.
"Your Shoes Are Delightful. Where Did You Get Them? Bazinga! I Don't Care."
After Bernadette and Howard get more serious, she s the group for takeout. Sheldon isn't a fan of this new change, and things get worse when Bernadette tries sitting in his spot. After hearing Bernadette and Amy talk about nonsense, Sheldon decided to in by complimenting Howard on his shoes. Howard is instantly confused, and Sheldon says "Bazinga, I don't care" before turning back to his food.
"Agreed. Amy, I Find Myself Wondering If We Should Actually Engage In Coitus At Least One Time In Our Relationship... Bazinga."
In the fourth season, Amy and Sheldon hang out and speak often but aren't technically dating yet. To get her mother off her back about the whole dating thing, she asks Sheldon to her on a video chat. In an attempt to act like Amy's boyfriend, Sheldon talks about having coitus with her daughter before hanging up. As Amy thanks Sheldon, he says shares this insanely out-of-character thought with her. But don't worry — it was all a ruse.
"And The First Woman You Ever Disappointed Sexually. Ba-da-Bazinga!"
Before Howard and Bernadette got married, the guys held a stag night for Howard. To prepare for the rowdy bachelor party, Sheldon had a list of rude jokes directed towards the groom. Shockingly, Sheldon drank alcoholic beverages, making him goofier than usual. When it was Raj's turn to give a speech for Howard, he mentioned Howard losing his virginity to his cousin, and this is when Sheldon chimed in with this zinger!
"Bazinga, Punk. Now We’re Even."
At the end of comic book store. While they're breaking up on Skype, Leonard closes the computer screen and lets out a sad sigh. He realized his relationship was over. Just as he gets up from the couch, Sheldon pops out from under the cushions and says "Rawr!" Dressed in zombie paint, Sheldon says "Bazinga, punk. Now we're even."
(Diving In And Out Of The Ball Pit) "Bazinga!"
The best bazinga moment is when Sheldon is diving in and out of the ball pit saying "Bazinga!" as Leonard tries to grab him. In this episode, Sheldon was overworked and exhausted. To simplify his problem, he went to a children's play place and jumped in the ball pit. A security guard called Leonard to bring him home but even Leonard had a hard time trying to grab Sheldon as he weaved in and out of the ball pit.
