Being a popular character among fans, Astarion is also regarded as an interesting personality by the other companion characters. The most unique thing about him is that he is a vampire spawn, his main motivation being getting revenge on his master, Cazador. For the majority of the game, he is able to be in the sunlight due to being infected with the Mind Flayer parasite.
