Netflix’s best movies in April 2025 showcase a collection of the new titles from 2024 and 2025 as well as the platform's best original content, including one of their most recent and biggest blockbusters yet. Netflix remains the biggest name in the streaming game, and while it has a lot of competition these days, it still delivers some of the most popular movies on streaming as well as some acclaimed originals, including Netflix's most recent and most controversial Best Picture nominee, Emilia Pérez.

Even though the very eventful Oscar campaign of Emilia Pérez is over, Netflix is still courting controversy with some of its movie content. March 2025 saw The Electric State, a sci-fi adventure directed by the Russo Brothers and starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt. However, one of the biggest budgets in movie history with a reported $320 million price tag, the film was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews and disappointing viewership numbers. However, there is still a wide selection of movies for fans to check out on Netflix this month.
