Love Island USA season 7 has been showing the progression of the Islanders relationships throughout the first stretch of episodes, but having yet to face a recoupling, the couples haven't been tested until the most recent episode. With the cast of Love Island USA season 7 moving into a new phase of the series, things were always going to change up quickly.

The Love Island USA season 7 cast was quick to figure out who they were interested and what they were looking for in of partners. After coupling up during the first episode, the Islanders have been welcoming to Bombshells who have entered the villa, but have yet to truly lose one of their own. While Yulissa Escobar was removed from the show after the first night due to racially insensitive comments, the rest of the cast hadn't faced an elimination yet. With tensions high, all eyes were on Nic Vansteenberghe, who was choosing between Belle-A Walker and Cierra Ortega.

Nic Had A Quick Connection With Belle-A

The Pair Were Getting To Know Each Other Slowly

Throughout the first episode of Love Island USA season 7, it was clear that Nic and Belle-A had a connection. After choosing each other first at the coupling, Nic respected the fact that Belle-A wanted to take things slowly as they moved through their early nights in the villa. While they weren't entirely non-physical, the couple chose not to get too intimate, too fast. When Nic was confused about what was going on between them, it became clear that Belle-A's boundaries may be a problem for the 24 year old model. Nic shared his concerns with Belle-A, but nothing changed.

As Nic and Belle-A continued to get to know each other during the early days of Love Island USA season 7, it became clear that though there were concerns around their levels of physicality, they were connecting on a deeper level. Similar in nature, Nic and Belle-A were open about the fact that they were happy to be getting to know each other, but open to other connections. Despite the fact that Belle-A had said she was open, it was Nic who ultimately took the plunge and got to know another Islander when Bombshell Cierra got into the show's villa.

They Escalated Quickly & Seemed To Connect Well

When Nic and Cierra got to know each other in the Hideaway, it was clear there was some intense chemistry between them and they got along on a personal level, as well. Nic came back to the villa and seemed like he'd stick with Belle-A, but ultimately chose to recouple with Cierra when given the chance. Nic and Cierra's connection hasn't seemed as deep as his connection with Belle-A, but has appeared to be something he's consistently interested in pursuing. Confusing everyone, Nic didn't seem to know where his heart was leaning between Cierra and Belle-A either, making things tricky.

Belle-A Was Eliminated From The Villa

Throughout Love Island USA season 7 episode 6, it was unclear who Nic was going to choose when it came to the recoupling, as the guys were in charge of the matches after the girls chose the initial couples. He'd shared he wanted to get to know both of them, but with a decision to be made, Nic went with the connection he felt would be easier to build upon, choosing Cierra over Belle-A during the recoupling. As Belle-A wasn't chosen, she was the first Islander eliminated from Love Island USA season 7. Heartbroken, but understand, Belle-A left with class.
