The article contains SPOILERS for Bel-Air season 3, episode 10, "Save the Best for Last"the reviews of Bel-Air season 3, Peacock's reimagining of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air creates even more drama around the young Will Smith (Jabari Banks), which carries all the way over to a finale that's filled with cliffhangers and unanswered questions.
In an interview with TVLine, following the Bel-Air season 3 finale on September 5, Waddles struck an optimistic tone about the show's future but revealed that she was uncertain whether Peacock would deliver a renewal. Still, even as she stressed that Bel-Air could go either way, she highlighted the positive reaction to season 3 overall. Read the quote below:
“It’s totally up in the air. In this business, you don’t know until you know — and even then sometimes you don’t know. I feel good and proud of the season that we all created, and I think the response from fans has been so good, so I’m just hoping that that pays off in Season 4 being picked up. It’s still anybody’s guess.”
Bel-Air Ends On Several Cliffhangers
Will Is Kidnapped.
There is an argument that season 4 has to continue since the third installment ends with Will getting kidnapped. While not explicitly revealed in the show, as Will gets shoved into a car, Waddles teases in the same interview that the abduction has to do with the enemies that Geoffery (Jimmy Akingbola) has made. However, Will isn't the only Bel-Air character with an uncertain future.
But whether the streamer is still satisfied with the show's performance years later has to do with many factors, potentially comparing the budget to viewership and overall value.
Aunt Viv (Cassandra Freeman) gets a positive pregnancy test, which calls back to Fresh Prince. That's big news for her and her husband, Phil (Adrian Holmes). As for Hilary (Coco Jones), there's a tease that her relationship with Jazz (Jordan L. Jones) isn't completely in the past, even as Hilary gets married to LaMarcus (Justin Cornwell) in the season 3 finale. LaMarcus' fate itself is kept up in the air, as Hilary finds her husband unconscious during their honeymoon. Finally, Carlton (Olly Sholotan) and Ashley (Akira Akbar) each take steps in their respective romantic journeys.

Bel-Air Cast Guide: How Each Character Compares To Fresh Prince
Bel-Air's cast and characters dramatically take over the 1990s sitcom's iconic roles, so here's how they compare to their Fresh Prince counterparts.
Carlton breaks up with Amira (Alycia Pascual-Peña), a newly introduced love interest, while Ashley takes a small step in her growing relationship with Lucia (Rita Angel Taylor). At one point, earlier in the drama's run, Peacock touted the success of Bel-Air. But whether the streamer is still satisfied with the show's performance years later has to do with many factors, potentially comparing the budget to viewership and overall value. None of these factors are public, which makes it hard to guess.
