DC FanDome has come and gone and fans got a terrific look at many exciting DC projects such as Matt Reeve's ramp up the excitement until the next bout of marketing which won't be for another few months.

Instagram and Reddit are just two sources of where some of the best fan art is displayed online. Here is some brilliant fan art for Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeve's movie The Batman.

Robert Battinson

Take a look at this piece from iMizurri on Reddit who is hoping for a darker and grittier version of Batman, even more than we have seen before, similar to Joker's style in his stand-alone movie. Robert Pattinson's Batman is in his second year of being the caped crusader when fans first meet him in his movie so it will be different to Ben Affleck's Batman who was coming out of retirement.

Nonetheless, images of Bruce Wayne from the movie have shown us that this version of Bruce Wayne will be just as dark and gritty even if he has only been Batman for a year.

Fan Poster

This art comes to fans from Instagram UltraRaw26. A large number of complaints about movie posters now is that they're all very similar showcasing the main character in the middle, ing characters around the outside and a title logo.

There's something about the lighting used in this art of Pattinson in the suit that would probably change that narrative. An up-close look at Pattinson in the cowl gives this a completely different energy to most movie posters today. Add the batmobile, a villain, and a title and you have yourself a good looking piece of marketing.

The Batman & The Joker

Upon first glance of this masterpiece from Alex Kovalenko, the first thing that may come to mind is that Pattinson might not be as big in the movie as he is in this art, but there's no reason why he couldn't if he wanted to or if the role required it, with many actors putting on incredible size for their roles. But we're not here to talk about Pattinson's Batman frame.

While we most likely won't see Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker in the Batman movie, as the trailer showed us the villains that will be facing off against Pattinson. However, this is the purpose that fan art serves - giving fans an idea into what a concept would look like IF it was real. Only time will tell if Pattinson's Batman and Phoenix's joker would fit in a movie together.

Dark Knight In Flames

There's not a huge amount to say about this piece from Reddit Batmobile surrounded by flames.

Batman is holding a grappling hook that we saw being used in the trailer from DC Fandome.

The Bat-Cycle

One of the fans' first looks at the movie included a shot of one of the stunt doubles riding a motorbike through a cemetery in Glasgow, Scotland. When you think of fan art, one of the first names that comes to mind is Bosslogic who upped the ante on the set photos by adding a cape, glowing eyes, and some motion effects.

Fans only got a small glimpse of the Bat-Cycle in the trailer but can also be fairly certain it will show up in future marketing in all its glory.

The Gotham Trinity

Giving us a detailed look at Zoe Kravitz' Catwoman and Jeffrey Wright's Commissioner Gordon comes this art from Datrinti who has the latest iteration of the caped-crusader front and center. We got a brief glimpse of Catwoman in the trailer but the Commissioner Gordon look is classic and very close to what is pictured above.

The only thing missing from this image is a Bat-Signal, which again, was not included in the trailer but will maybe be in the marketing further down the line.

Penguin

Appearing alongside Batman for the first time in many years comes Penguin who is being played by Collin Farrell. Fans got to see Penguin in the trailer and even though he looks nothing like what is pictured above, the fan art by Shatterversent definitely shows us that Farrell can definitely pull off the Penguin look.

That being said, Farrell as Penguin in the trailer looks simply unrecognizable, undergoing a similar transformation to Christian Bale as Dick Cheney in Vice and Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.

Alfred

This piece of art, again from UltraRaw26 shows us Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. That's right, in case you hadn't heard/been living under a rock for the last while, Andy Serkis is once again substituting his motion-capture suit for a dinner jacket and bow tie to be the right-hand man to Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne.

This will be a very interesting dynamic to see Pattinson and Serkis work off each other but both are fantastic performers and fans will see next year.

The Suit

This stunning piece of art by William Gray was revealed to the internet a few months back when all fans had of the movie was a few set photos and videos. William used these to his advantage to create this incredibly accurate piece of art outlining what Pattinson would look like.

The design is slightly less "comic-book-y" than Affleck or Bale's suit and seems to be slightly more functional. From the cowl to the handcuffs in the belt, a magnificent piece of work all round.
