Summary
- The modding community has kept Batman: Arkham Knight alive with new content like suits and Batmobiles for nearly a decade.
- Riddler's missions in Arkham Knight met mixed reviews due to requiring players to collect over 200 trophies for the game's true ending.
- A new mod allows players to skip Riddler's objectives and jump straight into the boss battle against him, improving the game's overall pacing and accessibility.
addition of new suits, Batmobiles, and more over the years. Upon its release, Arkham Knight was intended as the finale to Rocksteady's acclaimed Arkhamverse. Scarecrow threatened to unleash his fear gas across Gotham City, resulting in a city-wide evacuation. This left behind some of the city's most notorious characters who sought to plunder it while the police were distracted by the impending terror threat.
The latest entry in the Arkhamverse, the poorly received shooter, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League takes place five years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight.
One of these characters was Edward Nigma, a.k.a. The Riddler, a villain who appeared in every Batman: Arkham game and even returned in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Throughout these games, Nigma would have players collect trophies or figure out puzzles and riddles to try and prove that he was intellectually superior to them.
While in Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, this was an optional objective, in Arkham Knight, a boss battle against Riddler was locked behind it, with players having to defeat him as part of getting the game's true ending. Fortunately, a new mod by SpideySansGoku simply called "Riddler Skip" does away with the criteria of collecting the many trophies and completing the challenges and lets players jump straight into the fight against Nigma.

Which Batman: Arkham Game Had The Best Riddler Missions
Riddler is one of the Batman: Arkham series’ most prolific villains, but one entry in the superhero saga delivered the best Riddler missions of all.
Having To Find Every Riddler Trophy Brought Arkham Knight's Endgame To A Crawl
Making Collecting Over 200 Trophies Compulsory Was A Mistake
Locking the game's true ending behind nearly 243 collectible trophies was a huge faux pas for Batman: Arkham Knight. While the game worked at a fast pace in its main story and culminated in a showdown with Scarecrow along with many surprising twists and turns, it then slowed to a massive crawl for those who hadn't collected every Riddler trophy and defeated the character beforehand as they'd have to scour the city for them before seeing the final cutscene of the game.
Being able to skip this objective with the aid of SpideySansGoku's mod certainly cuts down on this grind, as it lets players cut to the chase and take down a mech-suit-wearing Riddler far sooner. Doing this makes the actual ending of the game far more accessible for those who don't want to give up entirely and watch it on YouTube.
While the game was largely praised upon its release - barring some criticisms that the Batmobile was overused and unnecessarily shoehorned into some situations - this Riddler hurdle is one of the more commonly complained about elements of the game and one that many players choose to ignore upon repeat playthroughs. While it's a somewhat minor fix, SpideySansGoku's mod certainly proves to be worthwhile for those invested in Batman: Arkham Knight's story who don't want its pacing spoilt.
