Bachelor In Paradise season 6 fan-favorites Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes held an engagement party on January 14 at an estate in Studio City, California. Dean and Caelynn met on the beach in Mexico when they both appeared in Bachelor In Paradise season 6 in 2019. Although their relationship had a tumultuous start, the couple ultimately left the beach together and have been inseparable ever since. Dean proposed to Caelynn after three years of dating on October 24, 2022, after taking Caelynn on a dangerous multi-day, expert-level hike in Kauai, Hawaii. Despite being forced to endure everything from van life to life-threatening adventures, Caelynn accepted Dean’s proposal.
Dean and Caelynn celebrated their nuptials with an elegant soirée at the Studio City Retreat Estate on the evening of January 14. People shared photos of the event and spoke with the happy couple ahead of their big evening. "We've got lots of friends and family coming, and it's just going to be great food and drinks and fun people," the couple revealed. Caelynn stunned in a white long-sleeve crop top, which she paired with a maxi skirt, while Dean wore a beige suit. The couple selected tray-ed apps to be served, which included sliders and charcuterie, as well as tomato soup and grilled cheese. Caelynn shared, "It's more casual, comfort food.”

Several of Bachelor Nation attended the engagement party and shared social media posts from the evening. Becca Tilley, Wells Adams, and Sarah Hyland expressed their and excitement for the couple via their Instagram Stories. Ben Higgins' wife, Jessica Clarke, also posed for a photo with Becca Tilley radio host Tanya Rad. Caelynn also dished on some wedding planning updates, saying, "We spent New Year's in Aspen looking at wedding venues, and we think we found the one. I've got my dresses, and I feel like that's the heavy lifting—the venue, the dresses—and then comes the fun stuff." Dean also confessed that he has taken a backseat in the planning process, finding it easiest to just say, "yes," to Caelynn's wishes.
Dean and Caelynn’s engagement party brings them one step closer to tying the knot. Prior to their engagement, Caelynn had expressed she was ready for marriage on several occasions. Now that the pair is officially engaged, she does not seem to be wasting any time as she has locked in several important details. Dean’s proposal, although beautiful, was incredibly on-brand for him. He made his fiancé uncomfortable and upset as they hiked 11 miles through dangerous terrain all so Caelynn could conquer her fear of heights before he popped the big question.

Dean has expressed his desire to keep their engagement and wedding low-maintenance and intimate, while the Bachelor In Paradise alum prefers the larger parties. Despite going against the grain in the past (such as when they lived the van life), and bringing Caelynn along for the ride, she is getting the wedding of her dreams.
