The rollercoaster relationship of The Bachelor franchise, Caelynn and Dean aren't at the top of many fan-favorite lists. On Bachelor In Paradise season 6, after quickly forming strong feelings for one another, Dean abruptly departed the beach on Caelynn's birthday. The two reconciled and Caelynn even gave Dean's nomadic lifestyle a try post-production. However, many viewers believe their love is one-sided, especially given Caelynn's recent remarks.
In November 2021, Dean, a finalist on Rachel Lindsey's season of Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, has hinted about wanting to be engaged by 2022, Dean said on his Help! I Suck at Dating podcast that she'd be waiting a while for him to take action. "I've made it pretty clear to her," he revealed. "I was like, 'If you really want to get married, you should be the one proposing to me,' so I think she's got something in the works for that." Five months later, Caelynn is sharing how she feels about the situation.
Dean's words, the Bachelor in Paradise star became open to the non-traditional idea. "It would be a day that's catered to him and he'd get that special moment where he's really thought of. So, I love the idea of planning a special moment that's all about him. After I really thought about it, I am really into it. We're in a partnership, we both should be proposed to!"
Yet many fans don't recall Dean agreeing to a two-part proposal and feel he's taking advantage of Caelynn. In response to a post shared by Caelynn is choosing to be with Dean and the unorthodox lifestyle that comes with him. A comment read, "Not defending but he's been completely honest and transparent about who he is from the start." Some pro-Dean viewers see his willingness to get married as a major step forward given his fractured bond with his father: "Dean has a lot of trauma and fear associated with marriage and starting a family...The fact that he's now open to the idea...shows how comfortable he is with her."
According to Caelynn, if she were to one day marry her boyfriend Dean, the ceremony would likely be at Lake Como in Italy with a maximum of 15 guests. As for expanding the family beyond their dog Alastor, this isn't something Bachelor In Paradise star Caelynn sees in their immediate future. At 26, Caelynn doesn't feel ready to be a mother just yet. Given Dean's family trauma, which involved his siblings leaving and his father converting into a Sikh Kundalini Yogi following the untimely death of his mother, he probably isn't ready for parenthood either. Some viewers might not agree with the relationship of Caelynn and Dean, but it works for them and that's all that matters.
