Avengers: Endgame. Both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame were seismic shifts in the superhero genre of film, becoming the fifth and second highest-grossing movies of all time respectively. In addition to their financial success, they also had by far the largest cast of heroes and cameos incorporating characters from almost two dozen films spanning Phase 1 to Phase 3 of the MCU. Despite this, there were a number of other characters that many hoped would make their onscreen MCU debut crossing over from their own projects.
Shows like Daredevil. While that never happened in Phase 3, Daredevil's introduction to the MCU proper in Phase 4 establishes an almost guaranteed role for Daredevil in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Why Daredevil Wasn't In Avengers: Infinity War Or Endgame
Daredevil, the rest of the Defenders, and the cast of Agents of SHIELD were all beloved characters that would have made an excellent addition to the lineup in Infinity War and Endgame, but the reasons why they didn't appear are simple; it was impractical. It was reported by Newsweek that Joe Russo, who directed the films with his brother Anthony Russo said, "We have considered everything. But the trick is that we already have at least sixty characters with whom we must tell a story." Russo also mentioned the difficulty in involving so many directors and creative teams behind each character and their own films, adding several TV crews would have been incredibly tricky.
The difficulty of creating meaningful roles and stories for the sheer volume of characters that appear in the climax of The Infinity Saga meant it would have made the films worse if they had to divide their focus even more. By focusing on the characters that had been established in the MCU films, it was easier to create a united, synchronized story that neatly concluded the Thanos arc and paved the way for an even richer future with more heroes to come in the MCU. Daredevil might have made a good cameo, but it would not have been the best choice for the story.
Why Daredevil Should Be In Avengers: The Kang Dynasty
Now that the TV and film departments are no longer separate entities with little overlap, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
The shows are now intrinsically connected to the rest of the story in the MCU, and with Echo alongside Alaqua Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio.
Will Other Marvel Netflix Characters Return In Avengers 5 Or 6?
Whether more of the cast from Avengers: Secret Wars remains to be seen. So far, there have been no confirmations for returns, but there is plenty of speculation. With Daredevil appearing so prominently in the Multiverse Saga, it is entirely possible that some of his former teammates will return. The Defenders don't appear in the comic stories that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars are loosely based on, but that doesn't mean the MCU won't utilize their street-level heroes in the films.
