Thanos is stronger than the Hulk, Avengers: Infinity War directors the Russos share. Earth's Mightiest Heroes will need all the help they can get when they come face-to-face with the Mad Titan and his minions, the Black Order. But it appears that one of the original six may not be as big of a help as people initially presumed, given that the Mad Titan could overpower the Hulk.
Aside from the Asgardians, it's the Hulk who stumble upon him. But other than being a possible source of information, his physical power is not enough for him to go one-on-one with the galactic villain.

Speaking with is supposedly the "strongest Avenger."
"I mean it's like death comes to call for the Avengers. This is a nearly unbeatable force who is determined to destroy half the life in the universe to bring it to balance. He sees it as an overgrown garden that he needs to prune. As you mentioned, he is fairly invincible. He's a sort of genetic mutation who's the Genghis Khan of the universe. He's unbeatable on the battlefield, stronger than the Hulk, skin is invincible. So it's going to cost the Avengers something to defeat him."
What's curious to know is what Banner thinks of Thanos considering that there is discord between him and his alter-ego. From what's known from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Perhaps, Hulk's penchant for the Mad Titan is also the reason why Banner is skeptical about another "angry" transformation, considering that the green raging monster could be more detrimental to the team rather than be of help.
Regardless, after an initial attempt to be involved in the massive battle by staying as Banner ( the final act of Avengers: Infinity War. At that point, he appears to be on the side of his old pals considering that at that he's just battling Outriders, but it's interesting to see what his reaction will be once he gets face-to-face again with Thanos.
