the MCU's entire timeline, as it marked the end of an era for the Avengers and brought half of all life in the universe back after Thanos' Snap. After performing his own snap, Tony Stark barely had a chance to say goodbye to his loved ones before ing away.

On X, jakob von doom shares a thread of MCU deleted scenes, including an Avengers: Endgame scene where Tony Stark is brought to the Soul Stone's Soulworld right after he performs the Snap that defeats Thanos and his army. During his brief visit to Soulworld, Tony meets a grown version of his daugther Morgan, and they share a heartwarming moment before Tony transcends. The post has picked up momentum on X, as MCU fans provide their arguments for or against the scene. Check out the post below:

X D.M. disagrees with the way the deleted Avengers: Endgame scene is written. Instead of a touching conversation between Tony and Morgan, D.M. proposes a shorter scene where Tony cries as he sees Morgan, and the only words he says is "I love you 3000" before the scene ends. This version of the Soulworld scene could have been a more efficient way of reuniting Tony and Morgan, and it would have called back to their most memorable moment together.

StonedWookie90 disagrees with Morgan's presence in Soulworld. Instead of Tony Stark's daughter, Tony's mentor Ho Yinsen could have been the person Tony Stark met in Soulworld. After all, the person Soulworld presents doesn't necessarily have to be related to the person who performed the Snap, and Ho Yinsen played an essential role in Tony Stark's life, having sacrificed himself in order to place Tony on the path to heroism in Iron Man. After his death in Iron Man, Yinsen only returned in Iron Man 3's opening flashback.

vince believes the deleted Avengers: Endgame scene serves little purpose. While Tony and Morgan's reunion is inherently a moving moment, it doesn't seem natural in Soulworld. Unfortunately, this means that Katherine Langford's only MCU scene had to be cut. Perhaps Langford will have another chance to appear as a grown Morgan in future MCU installments such as Ironheart and Avengers: Doomsday.

Tony Stark's sacrifice has been widely praised for fitting neatly into Iron Man's MCU character arc. However, the addition of an extra scene that features Stark transcending in Soulworld has been contentious. On one hand, Iron Man could have a final heartwarming moment where he's able to say farewell to Morgan the same way that Thanos got the chance to see a young Gamora after performing the original Snap. On the other hand, a final scene starring Tony Stark after his death could easily detract from the emotional impact of his sacrifice.

Avengers: Endgame's deleted scene starring Tony and Morgan reuniting in Soulworld has been criticized for its slow pacing and unremarkable dialog, as well as for the fact that Morgan Stark's grown-up appearance can seem confusing at first. As it is in Avengers: Endgame's final cut, the focus of this scene remains on the finality of Tony Stark's heroic choice and the immediate mourning that follows. It's the simplicity of Tony Stark's death, compared to his increasingly grandiose adventures, that makes it so impactful. Meanwhile, Morgan Stark's grief can be explored in other MCU projects.
