Richie graduated with a first-class degree in Film Production Technology in 2017 and has since worked in the film industry. He loves stories in any form as long as they are compelling and, most importantly, entertaining. Richie loves to research and ensures everything is triple-checked before it's taken as fact.
Favorite Media
Richie will watch just about anything. However, he particularly loves Action and Horror films alongside fantastic stories set in Sci-fi or Fantasy worlds. Richie loves to be taken on a journey with the media he watches and be sucked into a story by compelling characters and storytelling, no matter the genre. Favorite franchises include Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Invincible, Lost, Game of Thrones, Alien, Predator, Scream, and lots more.
Industry Focus
Richie specialized in producing and writing at university and has since pursued those focuses, even working as a production manager for a small docu-drama. He is fascinated by the Box Office and keeps a close eye on it to ensure he is writing about subjects the audience cares about; he's also always looking for a good indie or cult classic.
Author Details
Richie loves films, television, reading, and video games. If it has a good story, Richie will consume it. Richie fell in love with the cinema in 2005 when he watched Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith with his Nan and has been going to that cinema ever since. Richie also loves to go on adventures; recently, he completed the Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand in 141 days, living out his best Lord of the Rings fantasies.
