About Kelsey Opel

At 13 years old, Kelsey Opel watched The Lord of the Rings trilogy and immediately fell in love with the filmmaking process. She studied writing & directing at The Colorado Film School in Denver, Colorado, where she wrote, produced, and directed various short films that shaped her quirky and unique filmmaking style. After graduation, she immediately began her career in the film industry as a Production Assistant and Background Actor on shows for Netflix, HBO Max, Animal Planet, and many more. One of her favorite experiences was working on the beach/motorcycle scene for Top Gun: Maverick. After working on set for several years, she decided to get back to her love of writing and became a Story & Development Executive at a production company. She consulted screenwriters on structure, story, character development, and dialogue. She now works as a Freelance Writer and is ionate about writing engaging content in the entertainment, wellness, and mental health spaces.
