About Kat Mondor

Kat Mondor is a lover of all movies. A graduate of Emerson College, Kat has been writing all her life, both fiction and non-fiction, much of it with a special focus on movie criticism and themes. Kat loves comedy movies and horror films, though she’s often too scared to really enjoy the scary movies. A genre she wants to get more into this year is heist movies and crime dramas. Her ultimate go-to rewatch movie is 10 Things I Hate About You and her all-time favorite show is Community. Kat lives in LA now and works in the entertainment industry.

Kat keeps track of all the movies she’s seen in a color-coded spreadsheet, complete with the film stats, the top-billed cast, the movie’s setting, who she watched it with, and her own rating. She also does this with the books and TV shows she consumes as well. She’s always trying to get her friends to do this too, but so far no one has. After she watches and logs the movie, Kat loves to listen to podcasts about the film analysis and behind-the-scenes as well. When not watching movies, logging them, or thinking about them, Kat enjoys baking, crafting, and going on long walks.

Industry Focus

Kat writes mostly about films and television, discussing their merits and/or logical inconsistencies. She's very good at picking apart movie logic and loves to do so, whether writing about it or not.

Favorite Media

Kat loves smart comedies that reward a rewatch, such as Arrested Development and Community. With movies, she loves goofy films that don't take themselves too seriously, like Lego Batman or Forgetting Sarah Marshall. She's also a big fan of the quotable coming-of-age classics, like Clueless and 10 Things I Hate About You.
