Favorite Media

Jen is an avid cinema-goer and will always catch movies by the Wachowskis, Ridley Scott, or Wes Anderson. She's a sucker for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia binges and a big fan of speculative novels, often re-reading Neil Gaiman, Ursula Le Guin, and Larissa Lai. Her favorite games include Mass Effect, Divinity 2, and Pentiment.

Author Details

Jen is a British journalist who moved to Canada, mostly for the French vanillas, after working as a copy editor and occasional travel writer at a UK newspaper. Now she writes about movies while surrounded by the Rockies. When not watching films or writing, Jen reads novels, runs, hikes, and sinks scary amounts of time into video RPGs.

Industry Focus

Jen is a movies and TV features writer with a background in culture writing for UK and US media. As a literature grad, she's interested in utopian and dystopian ideas in sci-fi and fantasy, particularly Dune, The Matrix, and Alien. She follows Neil Gaiman adaptations closely, too, and is always ready to jump to Wes Anderson's defence.
