About Brenda Hernandez

Brenda Hernandez is a writer and aspiring animation screenwriter from the United States. She is of Salvadoran descent and was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she has lived her whole life. Brenda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production at California State University, Northridge and has also attended UCLA Extension’s Writer Program to further hone her skills as a writer. Recently she was accepted to participate in Netflix’s Writing for Animation Masterclass, wherein she was given the opportunity to work alongside other aspiring Latin writers. Some of Brenda’s favorite things to do in her free time are: reading, writing her own original scripts or book ideas, baking, and watching her favorite animated films and animated action shows (superhero or anime, primarily).
