Legendary armor and headgear in Assassin's Creed Shadows are found across every major region and can be acquired by completing many of the side and main quests and activities. There are four main types of armor: light, regular, helmets, and headgear. Light armor and headgear are Naoe's armor types, while regular armor and helmets are equipped by Yasuke. As with all legendary gear, when you collect an item, you'll also acquire the engraving associated with that item's effect. You can also slot one engraving to give your armor an additional effect.

Similar to legendary weapons in AC Shadows, many of the legendary armor pieces are acquired during Naoe and Yasuke's main progression through the story. However, you'll also need to visit certain Kofuns, clear forts and castles, and complete side quests and target boards in order to obtain every legendary armor piece available. Both armor types and headgear/helmets have a range of effects that can sometimes change your build and playstyle entirely. You can reset your skill points at any time for free, so if you find a new piece of armor you really like, consider re-speccing around it.

All Legendary Light Armors For Naoe

Naoe's light armor pieces come in all shapes and sizes, and provide unique abilities or buffs for many different playstyles. If you're playing without AC Shadows, you'll want to snag some of the assassination-boosting light armor options, such as the Swift Shinobi Robes found in a legendary chest in Hijiyama Fort in Iga, or the best Assassin armor in the game, the Master Assassin Gear, though it's only available after completing the main campaign.

Assassin's Creed Shadows: Complete Skills Guide

There are a ton of featured skills and abilities available for both Naoe and Yasuke in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Here's a comprehensive list.

Outside assassin-focused gear, there are some other incredible and unique options for light armor as well, such as the Mamushi Snake Robes, which causes dead bodies to release a poison cloud when they're investigated. This is much more devastating than it sounds, and I highly recommend running through at least one castle with the armor on just to see how it works. Another fun one is the Legendary Onna-musha Kosode, which lets you knock down enemies with a power slide.

All Legendary Headgear For Naoe

When it comes to headgear, Naoe has an equally diverse selection of legendary options for many different playstyles. Headgear and light armor come in "sets," (e.g. Noh Masterstroke Mask & Costume), but they are never found in the same location and don't gain any additional buffs from being worn together, despite often complementing one another. Feel free to mix and match headgear and light armor as you see fit.

Similar to light armor, there are a couple assassin-boosting headgear pieces that increase the number of health segments removed for assassinations, such as the Yurei-Walker and Master Assassin Hoods. All Legendary Armors For Yasuke In AC Shadows

All Legendary Armors For Yasuke

Yasuke's legendary armor also comes with a range of different features for varying playstyles and builds. Since Yasuke is the only character who can use proper ranged weapons, the Master Archer set is a no-brainer if you prefer his ranged abilities. This outfit boosts damage with Ranged Weapons by 200% while out of combat, making increasing Yasuke's stealth damage, while the helmet slows down time when you land a headshot.

If you want to try out a glass cannon build, the Samurai Daimyo Armor of Legend boosts damage by 75%, but limits your health to 25%.

While it has to be purchased from the store, the Armor of the Undead is pretty cool, creating a poison cloud every time Yasuke lands a successful parry. The Protector's Armor is a personal favorite, allowing you to block otherwise unblockable attacks, which comes in extremely useful. If you want to try out a glass cannon build, the Samurai Daimyo Armor of Legend boosts damage by 75%, but limits your health to 25%.

All Legendary Helmets For Yasuke

As with Naoe's headgear, Yasuke's helmets correspond with the above armor pieces. Both Naoe and Yasuke in AC Shadows are rewarded a unique legendary armor set upon completing parts of the main story mission. Naoe's is the Master Assassin Gear mentioned above, while Yasuke's is the Destroyer Samurai Set. However, the Samurai Daimyo Helmet of Legend is a top contender for Yasuke's unique legendary armor sets, as it pairs extremely well with the armor piece, and is excellent for a Samurai-focused build.

Ultimately, no matter what legendary armor pieces you choose for Yasuke and Naoe, your build can benefit from synergizing these effects with your trinket/amulet and weapon choices. Plus, your skill selection and ives will enhance these effects even further. Tracking down these armor pieces requires clearing numerous castles and forts, and many of the items are found in legendary chests hidden around each region. Make sure you experiment with different combinations to find your ideal Assassin's Creed Shadows setup.
