Inspired by the Eoin Colfer book of the same name, the Disney+ movie, Artemis Fowl, sees a young boy seek to outsmart the fairy world in an effort to save his father. Along the way, he makes a few magical allies and learns a little bit more about himself.

Though not all of the characters from the series of novels make it into Disney's first movie, there are still plenty of characters for the audience to identify with. In fact, based on personality traits and motivations, viewers can find their zodiac signs amongst the characters.

Aries: Mulch

Mulch Diggums is, technically, the first character the audience meets. He tells the story of Artemis Fowl, and his flair for the dramatic as he does it might make him seem like a Sagittarius. That's not the case. Mulch is definitely more in line with an Aries.

Though Mulch is a bit of an opportunist when it comes to picking pockets, he's also a ionate individual. He knows what he likes - shiny things and treasure - and impulsively goes after them. Sure, he makes a deal with Root that would have him stealing from Artemis, but he also changes his mind and sides with the kid. He's got that Aries knack for diving into new situations.

Taurus: Dr. Po

Dr. Po only features in one scene in the movie. He's on hand at school to speak to Artemis about his behavior in class, specifically his lack of respect for those around him.

With his position of authority, his patient manner, and his stubborn attempt to get into Artemis' head, he exemplifies all the traits of a Taurus. He even shows that a Taurus is a creature of comfort who appreciates the finer things in life as Dr. Po attempts to show off his family heirloom of a chair.

Gemini: Juliet

The Juliet Butler of the novels is much more of an Aries than the Juliet of the movie. There's no fight she won't leap into without a proper plan. She's a smidge more cautious in the movie, but she also demonstrates a true gift for being calm under pressure.

As any Gemini would, Juliet takes the fact that Artemis and her brother catch a fairy in stride. She wears the glasses Artemis provides and tries to befriend Holly, even bringing her a meal. When events get a bit more chaotic in Fowl Manor, Juliet quite literally leaps into action, not letting a troll or fairy weapons phase her. She effortlessly adapts to new situations. The only thing that truly startles her is the possibility that her brother might not survive in the fight.

Cancer: Dom

Amongst the zodiac signs, Cancers have a reputation for being sensitive. Truthfully, they tend to be incredibly empathic, understanding what other people are feeling and tending to see the good in everyone. That might not seem like Dom on the surface, but he's definitely more caring than he lets on.

Dom quickly gets along with both Holly and Mulch, despite their very different personalities. He's also the caregiver of Fowl Manor as Artemis Fowl Sr. is away so often. It's Dom who spends most of his time caring for Artemis Fowl Jr.

Leo: Briar

While most Leos are generous party people, some Leos internalize the traits that make them the life of the party. That can make them a bit more prone to judgment, even intolerant of the ideas of others. That's the kind of Leo Briar Cudgeon is.

Briar is a high-ranking officer amongst the LEPrecon unit, but he feels left out of the action when Commander Root trusts Holly Short over him. He constantly undermines the group as a result, wanting to find a way to make himself the one in charge.

Virgo: Artemis Sr.

If there's one thing we know about Artemis Fowl Sr., it's that he's the epitome of organization and planning. His library and his records are immaculate. He also plans for the eventuality that his son will have to take over his preservation of fairy history.

Artemis Sr. is the very essence of a Virgo. He might not always be there to nurture his son, but he tries to give him every advantage - and the most caring of bodyguards - in his stead. A Virgo is someone who always likes to plan everything out far in advance, and he's certainly got that down.

Libra: Root

Commander Root is an intimidating presence to the other LEP officers. She is all about order and keeping the world in balance - by keeping fairies a secret. As a Libra, she's in the perfect position.

Libras are natural leaders that inspire confidence in the people around them. They're able to think up creative solutions to mundane problems, and they're always interested in "balancing the scales." That makes a position in law enforcement a perfect fit.

Scorpio: Opal

The audience doesn't get to see too much of Opal Koboi in the movie as a few of her scenes were actually cut. What we do see of her, however, lets us know that she is the kind of person who goes after what she wants - no matter the cost.

That is the aggressive nature of a Scorpio. Most Scorpios aren't the villain of their story, but their determined natures and tendency to fixate on the things they want certainly fit Opal.

Sagittarius: Foaly

Though Foaly gets a larger spotlight in later novels, he only appears briefly as the tech guru for the LEPrecon units. It's Foaly who designs a lot of the technology the fairy law enforcement uses, and he's fascinated by how things work in the human world as well.

Foaly is certainly someone who belongs with the scholars of the zodiac, which is why he's a Sagittarius. Sagittarians are often honest to a fault, but they also love to tell stories and learn new things.

Capricorn: Artemis Jr.

Artemis is just as smart as Foaly, despite his young age, and he's got the same knack for planning his father has. Despite having traits from both of their signs, Artemis is a best fit for the ambitious and duty-bound Capricorn.

Capricorns are often good at hiding their emotions and focusing on the task at hand. That's a good skill to have when they're goal-oriented. Capricorns have a deep need to prove themselves and hate leaving a task unfinished. That's why Artemis is the perfect person to take on fairy law enforcement to help his father.
