After its showstopping first season, it’s no surprise that Arcane returned for season 2 on Netflix, and the show's final season was a fitting conclusion to the popular program. Set in the League of Legends universe, Arcane focuses on sisters Violet and Powder (later Jinx) as they end up on opposite sides of a growing conflict between the wealthy utopia of Piltover and its dark undercity whose citizens wish to break away from their oppressors. Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, and Kevin Alejandro star in this animated adventure.
The Emmy-winning show ed massive viewing numbers on Netflix and received a lavish critical reception, with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Due to the laborious nature of the animation, which beautifully combines 2D & 3D styles, the show took a long time to make. However, it was all worth the wait as the second season returned as triumphant as the first, with the sisters (Violet and Jinx) on the opposite sides of a conflict that could tear Piltover in two. Though the series was woefully short-lived, season 2 of Arcane pulled out all the stops.
