Final Fantasy 16 DLC And Stellar Blade Are Heavily Anticipated Releases

Story-Driven Games With Very Different Approaches

Two of the biggest video game releases to come in April 2024, include The Rising Tide DLC for Final Fantasy 16 and the sci-fi adventure Stellar Blade. The Rising Tide DLC will add a deep story, battles, and more while raising the level cap of FF16. The paid DLC will cover a portion of the game that was intentionally left vacant as a mystery for players. It is a larger and much more significant expansion than the previous Echoes of the Fallen DLC, and one that many Final Fantasy fans have been anxious to see.

Meanwhile, Stellar Blade is another PS5 exclusive game which had previously been known as Project Eve while in development. After losing a war against alien invaders, humans have been driven from Earth, and it is up to Stellar Blade's main protagonist, Eve, to help take the planet back. The game has had the attention of many for many years and promises fast-paced combat and a deep story.

Many new titles in April are entering early access periods on Steam, which means they will still be in development despite being launched for people to play. This method gives devs a chance to get from players, but the games will not be as polished as a full release might be. To some, however, playing a game while in early access offers a unique experience of being able to see a game evolve and grow while enjoying it, and possibly to be of some help in the game creation by pointing out glitches and bugs.

Unique Art Styles Fill April's Game Releases

Sand Land, Echoes Of The Plum Grove, Planet Of Lana, And More

A common theme that seems to be present in the list of new video games launching in April 2024 is that many of them are examples of unique and beautiful art styles that might be a bit beyond the normal form of graphics that are commonly seen. Sand Land features illustrations reminiscent of Dragon Ball, which is fitting as the adventure of Sand Land was written and designed by Dragon Ball's creator, Akira Toriyama who, sadly, ed away just prior to the release of Sand Land.

The Next Akira Toriyama Game Gets Free Demo On PC & Console, Available Now

Sand Land, the video game based on the manga by the late and beloved Akira Toriyama, releases a new demo for players to give the action RPG a try.

Echoes of The Plum Grove is a very unusual take on the idea of a farming simulator, with an almost Paper Mario art style to it and a historical approach where the community evolves over generations. Other games such as Planet of Lana and Tales of Kenzera: Zau also provide a different look and feel than many of the traditional big-name titles and are worth checking out for anyone looking for something new and different.

As 2024 marches on, the video game community continues to be blessed with many incredible choices of games to play. While most will, understandably, jump at the big releases such as the DLC for Final Fantasy 16, Stellar Blade, and Sand Land, there are many games worth taking a look at through April. With so many titles that cover a plethora of styles and genres, there should be something for any person who is looking for an escape.
