Highlights From Apple TV's 2024 Trailer

Apple Is All About Shows In 2024

While the only two movies included in the trailer are ones that have already been widely seen, Apple TV's slate of series looks very promising. The trailer includes some returning shows, like Loot season 2 (premiering on April 3) and The Big Door Prize season 2 (premiering on April 24), but a large focus has been put on brand-new shows that audiences haven't seen before, many of which will seemingly be miniseries.

Killers of the Flower Moon hit theaters on October 20 and then released on Apple TV Plus on January 12, meaning Napoleon, which was released in theaters on November 22, is likely poised to hit the streamer this month.

Sugar, for example, stars Colin Farrell as a private detective investigating the disappearance of a Hollywood producer's granddaughter in Los Angeles. Franklin, as well, is an exciting new miniseries, with Michael Douglas set to star as none other than Benjamin Franklin. Lady in the Lake, which is based on the novel of the same name by Laura Lippman, stars Portman as an investigative journalist in 1960s Baltimore as she investigates a murder while clashing with Moses Ingram's Black activist character.

Gyllenhaal is also set to make the jump to TV with Presumed Innocent, with the star set to play a Chicago prosecutor accused of murder. Apple TV Plus' smart sci-fi series supremacy looks to continue with Dark Matter, with the series starring Joel Edgerton as a man who must protect his family from alternate versions of himself after he is warped into an alternate reality. It remains to be seen how tis slate of new projects will be received, but Apple TV Plus is evidently gearing up for a year packed with content.
