The recent gameplay footage of an impressive win in Apex Legends emphasizes the idea that teamwork is crucial for achieving victory in the battle royale game. The possible tactical combinations of various characters in the game are going to become more diverse with the recently introduced Valkyrie, allowing to defeat enemies with greater efficiency.
Prior to the Legacy season’s official launch in Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment shared a series of trailers detailing the majority of the new content additions. The most significant new Apex Legends character was Valkyrie, a new playable Legend that was treated to a dedicated gameplay video. In it, the newest character was shown performing all the special moves and abilities. Thanks to a custom armored suit constructed out of Titan’s spare parts, Valkyrie is able to fly above the battlefield, shoot rocket barrages, and even launch her whole squad in the sky for a redeployment.
Apex Legends is a team-based battle royale for a reason, as vividly demonstrated by Redditor Leppidemic’s video. During the final battle against the remaining squad, the player got downed as Lifeline and witnessed their other teammate, Octane, get knocked as well. At this crucial moment, Leppidemic decided to activate the self-revive animation, and the brilliant teamwork began right after that. First, Octane protected Lifeline, reflecting the enemy’s fire with their knockdown shield. Then, after successfully completing the exhausting revive animation, Leppidemic managed to throw down the drone to revive Octane a second before getting downed again, this time fending off the incoming damage themselves. This way, the squad pulled an impossible victory against all the odds, putting on display various reviving mechanics available in the game and emphasizing the importance of teamwork.
It is worth noting that playing as Lifeline, Leppidemic was especially helpful with an additional cover that is the drone’s combat shield. In the recently launched Apex Legengs Legacy season, however, the popular Apex Legends’ battle medic was treated to a massive nerf, which removed the shield completely. Now, Lifeline has to find an actual cover to revive her squates in peace and safety. Additionally, the character no longer has the ability to abuse the impenetrable shield, reviving downed players right in front of opponents to gain an unfair tactical advantage.
The latest win video by a dedicated Apex Legends fan highlights the idea that anything is possible with the right attitude and perfectly balanced teamwork. Even in a downed state, any player in Respawn’s battle royale hustle can be of good use, helping their teammates and distracting enemies. In Apex Legends, there’s always a second chance, allowing unfortunate gamers to recover and turn the tables in their favor. That’s actually one of the key reasons why the game became so popular in the first place, inspiring other battle royale titles on the market to offer a similar experience.
