One forward-thinking Nintendo has actively ed this most recent installment in the series since its launch last year by constantly giving players new content and features to discover, but some of players' favorite things about the game have been unintended.

As Animal Crossing: New Horizons' popularity has sustained over a year on, the player base has developed a bit of a reputation for finding unintentional gameplay mechanics and exploiting them in creative ways. The most recent example of this is the pool glitch, which actually increases the immersion of the game by allowing Animal Crossing players to sit in pools and bathtubs in-game, whereas they were only unusable set dressing before. After placing a flat object near an elevated curve, all a player needs to do is then climb onto that object and they will glitch intoir the body of water of choice.

Since the glitch's discovery, however, Reddit  TikTok video to pull off the glitch but shares that there are plenty of other sources on YouTube demonstrating how to do it, as well.

What is unique about the pool glitch when compared to similar discoveries in the latest unofficial challenge for Animal Crossing players to glitch into whatever they can. If that happens, then this might be a glitch Nintendo allows to live for at least a little while longer.

Utilizing the pool glitch in this way seems par for the course when it comes to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community discovering new intentional and unintentional gameplay mechanics. The results are creatively cute and will likely inspire many others to try it as well. If Nintendo does end up fixing it, then perhaps the response from the community will prompt the addition of a feature that allows players to properly sit in their pools and tubs. That said, it may not be as thrilling and worth doing if it is so easy.
