An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player created a unique villager interaction, waiting for them to ring a bell they'd humorously labeled with the text: "Ring to get sacrificed to Satan." As an otherwise cozy, relaxing life-sim, ACNH usually offers players a way to escape from the real world with soothing gameplay and slow progression. But five years since its release and nearing four years since its last update, many players have found their own ways to entertain themselves to prevent it becoming stale.

Reddit thatweezel carefully planned a hilarious moment on their Animal Crossing island, awaiting a villager to ring a bell if they wanted to be sacrificed to Satan. itting "I've waited an hour for this", their patience is unmatched, plotting the perfect clip and seeing it unfold right in front of their eyes. Once the bell was rung, the player came running out in a mask while wielding an axe, ready to take out the poor villager.

An "Unhinged" Moment Contrasts With The Peace Of Animal Crossing

ACNH Is Often A Respite, But This Player Has Other Ideas

Setting up the perfect shot, thatweezel sat lying in wait with their camera positioned for when a villager would finally ring their bell to get sacrificed to Satan. But since you can't force villagers to interact with certain objects, the player had no idea how long they'd be sitting hoping for one of their villagers to come by and ring the bell, lurking for over an hour behind the trees. When the time came though, they revealed themselves with an axe and charged towards the unsuspecting target, contrasting the usual peace of ACNH.

With nearly four years since Animal Crossing's 2.0 update, it's no surprise that a lot of players have sought to create their own fun with in-game silliness, and the audience are greatly receptive to it. voodoopipu, among others, commented, "So unhinged lmao. I love it," expressing an appreciation for these little clips that still make ACNH feel fresh even today. DeLululu777 also chimed in to make the funny pun "perfectly executed," expressing just how well the player hid before revealing themselves with ultimate comic effect.

Animal Crossing Players Are Patient To Create Hilarious Moments

ACNH Players Find Their Own Way To Have Fun

Animal Crossing New Horizons Relaxing Setting

This isn't the only slightly horrifying moment that Animal Crossing players have captured before either, with another creator delivering on an underground fight club of gyroids. Set up to fight one another next to the slums, these quirky in-game items are hilarious to be used as decorative figures. While the game is obviously perfect for relaxing gameplay and gorgeous island decorating, there's a lot of humor to be found in what can be created too, particularly for the more patient players like this.

This isn't the only time that a little patience has delivered on a great in-game moment in ACNH either, as another player brilliantly recreated a lemonade stand on their island and captured Molly the duck in the frame. As a hilarious ode to "The Duck Song," the player jests that a duck walked up to the lemonade stand. Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are always coming up with new ways to have fun, and the people still making creations and sharing them online have kept the game thriving well beyond its years.
