An 400 different Animal Crossing villagers, players have no shortage of options when it comes to filling their island with different animals.

There are 35 different species of animals included in the Animal Crossing village roster. These include bears, wolves, sheep, and even one reindeer, that can all show up on players' islands and eventually live there. Some players are partial to certain species and prefer to have those villagers move on to their island, while others do not have a preference for what species shows up, and favor other attributes like personality instead. Raymond the cat and Marshal the squirrel are the most sought-after Animal Crossing villagers, but Shino the deer and Sasha the bunny are close behind.

Reddit Animal Crossing tends to add new villagers to the roster with each new game. Even with all of the different species included, having adorable capybara villagers could draw in new players and make current fans even happier.

Animal Crossing Fan Design Capybara

Coming up with different villagers for the game is always fun for Animal Crossing fans. They can take inspiration from the different species already included or, like in Saracura's case, add their own species and personality types to get their ideal villagers. While it is nearly impossible to see every single villager while playing Animal Crossing, players like the idea of stumbling upon their favorite species while out in the world. Though fans can only have 10 villagers on their island, the new Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise DLC allows players to curate vacation homes for a wider array of villagers than those living on their home island.

Animal Crossing has remained a very popular title. Since its release in March 2020 players have kept coming up with ways to keep things interesting. With the Happy Home Paradise DLC, players were given a reason to jump back into the game and explore the new content. The different ideas players come up with for villagers' houses are always interesting and it would be fun to see what type of home could be designed for these imagined capybara villagers. Even though Happy Home Paradise is the last DLC for Animal Crossing, players seem to be happy with the amount of new content added to the game and will likely continue to enjoy Animal Crossing: New Horizons for years to come.
