A recently-discovered Animal Crossing: New Horizons glitch allows players to stand and sit in pools and bathtubs. The newest game in Nintendo's Animal Crossing series, New Horizons allows players to renovate a deserted into a bustling island paradise. The game is nonlinear, allowing players to customize their island however they please and at their leisure.

Since the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons back in March 2020, Nintendo has continued to the game through the release of updates and expansions. The game receives regular events which add content based on seasons or certain holidays. However, many fans are clamoring for more substantial updates for New Horizons, such as a major size increase for the southern portion of the game's island setting, suggesting that a new area of the island or a smaller sister island will soon be added for players to explore.

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons glitch that allows players to sit in pools and baths was recently made popular on Reddit by u/Pigment_b. The Reddit post demonstrates how players can now sit and relax in their in-game pool, which helps to complete the game's tropical island aesthetic. An explanation of how to utilize the glitch has been created by Instagram @kohaku_crossing, who demonstrates the easiest method to achieve this immersive position. Fans must place a flat object near an elevated curve and then climb onto the object, which will let them glitch into the pool of water.

While Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows players to get creative within the game, fans are also encouraged to get creative outside of the game. Build-A-Bear Workshop, which allows customers to stuff and clothe their own personalized stuffed animal, recently partnered with Nintendo to create two Animal Crossing-inspired teddies. Iconic villagers Isabelle and Tom Nook are both available as Build-A-Bear creations, and the company recently announced two new winter-themed outfits alongside a major restock of the rare characters.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is an immersive experience where players build and then maintain their own happy island habitat. Lounging around is a part of the game's relaxing atmosphere, and sitting in a pool or bath fits right into this theme. While players are currently able to sit in these locations only by exploiting a glitch, Nintendo would be wise to implement this as an actual feature.
