The best shows on Amazon Prime Video include a strong mix of original series as well as network and cable TV shows that Amazon has licensed for temporary streaming options for subscribers. Amazon is adding several new movies and TV shows to its Prime Video offerings in April 2025. This includes the new Kevin Bacon TV show The Bondsman, a new animated series called Happy Family USA, and a new series by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel creators Daniel and Amy Sherman-Palladino called Étoile.

There is some Amazon news for people who need dubbing assistance when watching movies and shows on Prime Video. Amazon is adding AI-aided dubbing to assist with titles that were previously unavailable in select countries (via Amazon). There was also big news for one of March's new releases. House of David moved into second place for most-watched shows, ing Invincible in viewership numbers (via Forbes). Prime Video has also entered the wrestling business and will sell AEW PPV events (via The Verge).
