An third Alien prequel was shelved after Disney acquired 20th Century.

Kay's human/alien hybrid child. This is where they chart a course for Yvaga III, a new planet for the franchise. It was always their intention to go to Yvaga III, as they believe it to be a planet that can sustain life and give them a fresh start. Barring an unexpected change, Alien: Romulus' sequel should explore the planet at last and everything it has to offer. And I think that could include David.

Yvaga III Could Be Where David Went After Alien: Covenant

He Was Destined For Earth In Covenant's Ending

There is now the possibility that Yvaga III is where David wound up after Alien: Covenant. The movie concluded with him trapping the few survivors in their cryostasis pods as a journey to Earth begins. However, it is clear from future Alien movies that David never made it back to Earth and was able to unleash his xenomorph creations upon humanity. That leaves a question of where Fassbender's android ultimately ended up, with plot details for the canceled trilogy capper suggesting that LV-426 would have been where David and the Engineers reunited.

I don't think it's too far-fetched to believe that Alien: Romulus' sequel would attempt to wrap up Scott's prequel trilogy. The first movie was so much more connected to Prometheus and Covenant than I ever imagined it would be with the black goo, Engineer-looking hybrid, and more. Clearly, director Fede Álvarez wants to unite the Alien franchise like never before, and even Scott is ive in how he's handled the series. This could mean he'll give Álvarez his blessing to bring Michael Fassbender's David back and show him on Yvaga III.

Alien: Romulus' Sequel Can End David's Story With The Yvaga Connection

It Won't Be A Loose End

If Alien: Romulus' sequel does bring David back and explain he found his way to Yvaga III, it would be a clever way for the franchise to tie up loose ends with the android. I'm not the only one who wants to see Ridley Scott's prequel storyline continue and reach an actual conclusion. Disney and 20th Century might still be hesitant to finance a sequel helmed by Scott, but the success of Alien: Romulus means they should trust Álvarez. With the studios and Scott trusting the director, he's the perfect choice to end David's story on Yvaga III.
