The WandaVision spinoff series, series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to air on Disney+, WandaVision was a huge hit for the streaming service that began a new era for the franchise on the small screen. Following Vision's (Paul Bettany) death in Avengers: Infinity War, WandaVision finds Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) putting a Hex on the town of Westview where she lives out an alternate reality based on different decades of television sitcom with a new version of Vision to help cope with his death.

By the series' end, it was clear that WandaVision was leading into various other MCU projects, including a post-credits scene that set up Scarlet Witch for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was also recently revealed that a Vision series is in development for Disney+, likely picking up after the events of WandaVision. Last year, it was revealed that Marvel Studios was developing a direct spinoff of WandaVision centered on Agatha Harkness, the titular heroes' nosey neighbor, Agnes, who was revealed to be the show's secret villain and a powerful witch.

At the current time, plot details for Agatha: Coven of Chaos, including the character Locke will play, are being kept firmly under wraps. With these two characters confirmed, Agatha: Coven of Chaos could explore the fallout of Wanda's actions in Westview, including Agatha whom she trapped in her Agnes persona, while Dottie's real identity was restored by Agatha.

WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer has returned for Agatha: Coven of Chaos, indicating the spinoff will likely stay true to the events of its parent series. Unfortunately, Locke's casting doesn't reveal anything new about the spinoff's show plot, though it does continue a Marvel trend of tapping promising young stars for their projects, both movies and television.
