How The New Stretch Goal Cards Work

New Card Offers More Options For Blue Plains Decks

Both the Neuromancer and the X-Ray Specs are Blue Plains cards, which means they can only be played if a player controls enough Blue Plains landscapes. The Neuromancer has 3 Attack, 6 Defense, and a cost of 1, and has a Floop ability that allows a player to draw a 0-cost card from their discard pile and then remove it from the game at the end of their turn. Meanwhile, the X-Ray Specs is a 0-cost spell card that allows players to play their turn with the top card on their deck revealed and allows the player to play cards directly from their deck instead of their hand.

Obviously, the two cards sync up well together. Once the Neuromancer enters play, they can Floop it to pull the X-Ray Specs from the discard pile and use it a second time. The Neuromancer's defense means that it can afford to Floop to pull a 0-cost card out into play and still defend its lane on their opponent's turn. The Neuromancer also syncs up well with the new hero Magic Man, who can discard a spell to draw a card. Using the Neuromancer, players can still play those discarded 0-cost spells.

How To Play Adventure Time Card Wars

Card Wars Involves Attacking and Defending Cards In Four Lanes

Jake Card From Adventure Time Card Wars Game

In Adventure Time Card Wars, players build a deck of 40 cards and choose landscapes that correspond to their deck. Each card has a cost between 0 and 2, and players can only put a card into play if they control at least that many landscapes. Players line up their landscapes to form four lanes that become the battlefield for the game. On a player's turn, they have two Action Points that they can spend to put cards into play, draw cards, or spend to activate certain card abilities. Players can also Floop a card to activate its Floop ability.

Before a player's turn ends, they can choose to have their creatures Fight an opposing creature in the same lane. Both players deal damage to each other, with the damage lasting throughout the game. If there's no opposing creature, they instead to damage directly to the opponent. The first player to deal 25 damage to their opponent is declared the "Cool Guy" and becomes the winner. With fun, strategic play with the classic flair from the beloved show, it's easy to see why the Adventure Time Card Wars Kickstarter has been so successful.
