Despite Hal Jordan being one of the most iconic heroes to use the Green Lantern mantle, he won't be the main Lantern of the Absolute Universe. Instead, Sojourner "Jo" Mullein has been confirmed to be the Absolute Green Lantern, though Hal and John Stewart will still be making appearances in roles that have yet to be revealed. With someone else wearing the ring, Hal has been relegated to a power he has no control over, hinting at a transformation into the Black Hand. Jo's Green Lantern will have a dangerous fight on her hands if Hal Jordan's explosive murder leads to a full-fledged villain arc.
