Tammy Slaton is far from achieving her weight loss and personal goals in why Tammy's immaturity has held her back from improving her life.

Tammy started her journey in 1000-lb Sisters feeling inspired by her ambitious goals to lose weight. Tammy's sister, Amy, worked to better her health alongside her, but the pair of siblings' disparate maturity levels ultimately resulted in diverging weight loss paths for the siblings. Throughout season 1, Amy was clear-headed and focused, determined to lose enough weight to have a child. After getting into good enough shape, Amy qualified for bariatric surgery and swiftly began her road toward motherhood. Now that she has her baby boy, Gage, Amy demonstrates what it's like to be a hard-working adult as she cares for her son and continues to make headway in her weight loss aspirations.

Unfortunately, where Amy has thrived in maturity, Tammy has been hampered by her childish tendencies. Instead of making difficult decisions that would pay off in the long run, Tammy's consistently done whatever she's felt like doing without considering the consequences. Specifically, Tammy's made immature choices when it comes to her weight loss venture. Tammy recently exhibited this self-destructive habit when she left rehab prematurely. 1000-lb Sisters fans thought Tammy was finally taking her weight loss seriously when she checked into a rehabilitation facility for food addiction after she gained some pounds in season 2. Tammy intended to lose 100 pounds during her stay, but after losing only 60, the reality star checked herself out of the care center. After leaving rehab, Tammy gained 15 pounds back, proving that the entertainer didn't have her best intentions at heart when she returned home early.

Tammy Slaton looks angry in 1000-lb Sisters

Tammy's childish instinct to go home when losing weight gets difficult is only one way the 1000-lb Sisters star's immaturity is displayed. Regrettably, the older Slaton sister conveys her lack of emotional growth in her arguments with her siblings and friends. Tammy likes to ignore the elephants in the room, but whenever Amy or her brother, Chris Combs, remind the television star of her reality, Tammy quickly turns to throwing temper tantrums like a kid. In 1000-lb Sisters season 3, Tammy lashed out at Amy and Chris for asserting they need a nurse to help care for Tammy now that Amy has a baby to look after. Instead of listening to her siblings' rational reasoning, Tammy shouted and cursed at her siblings. If Tammy were able to have adult conversations with people Amy and Chris, she would have stronger relationships.

Season after season, Tammy continues to fall further from her goals, and although the star is quick to blame others for her mistakes, Tammy's immature attitude is responsible for her stagnancy. From not stepping up to weight loss challenges to fighting with her siblings during difficult discussions, Tammy's limiting the progress she can make in her relationships and fitness journey. Hopefully, Tammy will start to act like the mature older sister she is before it's too late in 1000-lb Sisters.
