1000-lb Sisters stars Chris Combs and his wife, Brittany Combs, have both experienced weight loss in the last few years, and it's time to look back at their incredible journey. Chris grew up with Tammy, Amy, and their other siblings in Shawneetown, Illinois. Like his sisters, Chris developed an unhealthy relationship with food at an early age. Their mother worked a lot, so the kids had to feed themselves. They ate a lot of junk food because it was easy and cheaper. As Chris grew up, he started working in the food industry. He worked for the American food corporation Tyson Foods, and then in a McDonald's kitchen, where he met his now wife, Brittany. Since ing the cast of 1000-lb Sisters, they've both lost weight.

Before embarking on his weight-loss journey, a 450-pound Chris looked like a different person. At his former size, Chris' mobility was limited, but since losing weight, his life has changed completely. He and Brittany even went on a family vacation to Florida, which wouldn't have been possible before the Slatons all lost weight. In a photo Chris posted to Instagram in February 2021, he and Brittany were in the middle of their weight-loss journey. At the time, Chris was smaller than he used to be but still had a long way to go.

Chris once playfully joked he was losing weight and "bringing sexy back."

Despite the joke, Chris's physical transformation likely contributed to a renewed spark in his relationship with his wife. Brittany is a 1000-lb Sisters fan favorite, and, like the rest of the Slatons, Brittany has embarked on her weight-loss journey over the years. She even said recently that she's considering bariatric surgery. Chris and Brittany have been married since October 2016 and live in Kentucky. Chris also has a daughter from a previous marriage and three grandchildren. Chris wanted to lose weight to be around for his family.

In the photo, Chris is wearing a suit with a sunflower pinned to his jacket, while Brittany is wearing a bright orange dress and her signature headband.

In the photo, Chris and Brittany look remarkably thinner compared to earlier photos of the couple.

Watching his step-sisters has also been crucial in inspiring Chris to continue to lose weight. His sister, Amy, has lost 125 pounds since the show premiered, while his other sister, Tammy, has lost over 400 pounds. Not to be left out, their sister, Amy Halterman, lost over 300 pounds.
