With Speed and Makkari zooming into the MCU in The Eternals, it seems the MCU's dry spell of Speedsters since Quicksilver's death is coming to an end. Super-speed is an extremely entertaining power to possess, making the lack of Speedsters in the MCU a big problem throughout the years.
However, an abundance of Speedsters exists within the pages of Marvel Comics that should debut in the cinematic universe soon as either heroes or villains in a plethora of pre-existing or franchises.
Black Racer
Ariana Saddiqi, better known as Black Racer, is a supervillain who possesses the power of super speed (which she uses to commit heists and battle the likes of Captain America, alongside her team The Serpent Squad).
Due to her altercations with Sam Wilson in the comics, she could be a potential antagonist for Thunderbolts as an anti-hero trying to redeem herself for previous crimes.
Aurora
Aurora is a mutant member of both The X-Men and Alpha Flight, who possesses the power of super speed.
After an Alpha Flight solo show or film at some point in the future.
The Whizzer
After mongoose blood was injected into Robert L. Franks's veins in an attempt to save him from a deadly snake bite, a strange reaction between his mutant genes and the mongoose blood granted him super speed, leading him to become the villain The Whizzer (who fought in WW2 and has battled The Avengers in the modern day).
Jay Klaitz portrayed a heavily retconned version of The Whizzer in Jessica Jones. However, this shows canonicity to the MCU is yet to be officially confirmed, meaning a more sinister and serious iteration of the villain could debut in live action, possibly as an adversary to The New Avengers or in prequel stories.
Fast Forward
With a name that is a play on of the DC hero, Buried Alien, AKA Fast Forward, is the fastest speedster to exist in Marvel Comics. Fast Forward suffers from amnesia and is from another universe, claiming he only re running as fast as he could to save his universe.
Due to the MCU's recent exploration of the multiverse, it would be relatively easy to debut this character in the 616 timeline and have him be the universe's fastest speedster just like in the comics. With The Flash releasing soon, it would be extremely clever of Marvel to debut their homage to The Flash in live action, possibly played by a previous Flash like Grant Gustin, considering it is implied Fast Forward is actually DC's Barry Allen.
The Blur
As a result of a retro-virus, Stanley Stewart gained super speed and became the superhero The Blur. He eventually went on to The Squadron Supreme and fought against the Avengers, clashing with Black Panther in the final confrontation
With rumors circling that the Squadron Supreme may be getting their own MCU solo project, there is a big chance The Blur may the team when they debut. There is also a chance Stanley Stewart could appear in a future installment of The Black Panther franchise, due to his affiliations with Africa and the countries superheroes in the comics.
Speed Demon
After making a deal with the grandmaster to be granted super speed, ordinary chemist, James Sanders, became Speed Demon; a supervillain who can run at superhuman speeds. Although his early stories were very cosmic in nature, Speed Demon has become a more grounded and low-risk villain in recent years.
With Speed Demon primarily facing Spider-Man, even ing The Sinister Syndicate and Sinister Six over the years, he is a worthy antagonist of a future Spider-Man movie as a member of either of these teams. There is also the possibility this villain could appear in Thunderbolts as a member of the team, due to his time as a Thunderbolt in the comics.
The Runner
Gilpetperdon is an Elder Of The Universe who has dedicated his life to becoming the fastest being in existence in order to achieve his one goal: to be the first entity to see all of the universe. This character is an extremely powerful being and is arguably the fastest character in the Marvel universe, using his abilities to battle extremely powerful villains (such as Thanos).
The Runner could show up in a plethora of cosmic projects due to his status as an Elder Of The Universe and his travels across all of space. This character is a friend of The Silver Surfer and Fantastic Four installment if the team needed an extremely powerful ally to aid them in cosmic combat.
Slingshot
Yo-Yo Rodríguez is an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D who goes by the name Slingshot and possesses the power of super speed due to her father's mutant DNA. This character appeared in Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D and stars in the show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Slingshot portrayed by Natalia Córdova-Buckley.
Depending on the canonicity of Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D, Yo-Yo may have never appeared in the official 616 timeline due to her absence in any MCU movies or Disney + shows. However, this beloved character deserves to return to screen and make her official MCU debut, possibly in a S.H.I.E.L.D-related project like Secret Invasion, a storyline she is involved with in the comics, or an X-Men-related project.
Northstar
Jean-Paul Beaubier is a mutant speedster and member of both Alpha Flight and The X-Men, who went on to become a teacher at the Xavier Institute. This hero with a complex and tragic backstory is the twin brother of Aurora, whom he loves very much and spends a great amount of time protecting.
Northstar could well debut in a future mutant-related project in the MCU, ing teams, such as The X-Men or Alpha Flight. With Quicksilver already dead in the MCU timeline, Northstar could take his place as The X-Men's main speedster considering he is classed as the fastest mutant. Possibly ing the team very early on in their MCU arc, in order to differentiate the MCU's X-Men lineup from the line-up previously used by Fox.
Hermes
Hermes is the God of Speed and son of Zeus who acts as a messenger between the Gods. As a member of The Olympians, Hermes relayed messages between The Olympians and The Asgardians when they were at war and has a complicated history with Thor and Loki.
With relations to Zeus and Hercules, who debuted in This god-centric franchise is the perfect place for Hermes to debut, however, he also has affiliations with The Eternals, The Guardians of The Galaxy, The Avengers, and other teams meaning the possibilities for his debut are endless.
