Will it matter that Captain Gantu is not in the live-action Lilo & Stitch?
It has been confirmed that Captain Gantu is not in the live-action Lilo & Stitch. While he is not a major part of the original animated film, he does serve as the main villain who sends Pleakley and Jumba after Stitch. I cannot imagine that Disney made this decision lightly, so hopefully it does not mess with the plot or flow of the film too much. I imagine they just give a little more to do to either Pleakley or Jumba (likely Jumba). Initial reactions by those who have seen the film alredy are mostly positive, so I am not too concerned.
Are you still upset about Henry Cavill's The Witcher recast?
Henry Cavill played Geralt of Rivia in the first three seasons of the Netflix series The Witcher, but is being replaced by Liam Hemsworth for the fourth. Cavill left the series due to creative differences, and likely a little bit due to the response from audiences, but it is still upsetting to see. I am sure that Hemsworth will do a great job, but he has big shoes to fill. Despite the issues with the series, for me, Cavill was always a consistent positive thing about it. Perhaps season 4 will change my mind, but for now, everytime I think about this recast I get upset.
I need Jeremy Renner to return for Hawkeye season 2 after his MCU salary dispute to bring in this 1 major character.
Jeremy Renner revealed that he turned down Hawkeye season 2 because he was only offered half of his season 1 salary. I hope Marvel/Disney and the actor can resolve their pay dispute to bring back one of my favorite shows and include the MCU debut of Clint Barton's brother, Barney. In a recent interview, Renner was asked about the rumor that Hawkeye's brother would appear in season 2, and the actor said there might have been some truth to it. Barney is an anti-hero who goes by Trickshot in the comics, and I'd love to see his MCU debut.
What are your hopes for The Last of Us season 2 finale?
Having played the game, I think it's clear what moment The Last of Us season 2 is going to end on, but I'm mostly hoping it comes as a complete surprise. I don't want to see Abby at all in the episode until the very end, where I'm anticipating she'll return for a major twist. Especially since season 3 is going to be focused more on her character, I'm hoping the focus is on Ellie for all of season 2's finale.
Is Kieran Culkin the right choice for Caesar Flickerman in Sunrise on the Reaping?
Having just recently rewatched the Hunger Games movies, Kieran Culkin seems like a strange choice to me. I love Succession and am down to watch him in anything, but I don't see him being all that similar to Stanley Tucci. Maybe my concern is that the character will feel too much like Kieran Culkin and less like Caesar Flickerman, but I hope I'm wrong.
How does the first trailer of Jason Momoa's Chief of War look?
Chief of War just switched from being a show I'd never heard of to my most anticipated TV series of the summer. Jason Momoa looks great, but the real appeal here is the production value and historical intrigue. I feel like I've been introduced to a time period I previously knew nothing about, and I'm hoping it will offer an experience similar to Shogun.
