  • Though the central thought-provoking message could be seen as a little underdeveloped, the scares and eerie sense of dread in the film are phenomenally well done. Sosie Bacon delivers an outstanding petrified performance and the score ratchets up the tension in a great way.

  • First of all Ive been meaning to watch the first Smile for a LONG while since I found out about it and now it's recent sequel that came out last year. So before I went to bed last night I played it on amazon prime and when the ending rolled around I was very creeped out, entertained, and I was left thinking to myself ''okay- that was very crazy.'' But overall the concept of one being in that kind of situation is what made me enjoy the film and why I rate it 10 stars out of 10. Can't wait to watch the second one.

Synopsis

A psychological horror film written and directed by newcomer Parker Finn, Smile is the story of a woman who, after witnessing a traumatic incident involving a patient, terrifying incidents keep occurring in her life. Sosie Bacon stars as Dr. Rose Cotter, the woman afflicted by these new realistic nightmares. The horrifying occurrences happen so frequently that Rose realizes she'll have to confront past trauma to escape this new reality and survive the supernatural forces trying to kill her.
