In Star Wars Unlimited, the Leader is the centerpiece of any deck, and choosing the best one for you is the one way to ensure victory. While every Leader can assume victory with the right deck construction and the luck of the draw, there are several Leaders in the first set, Spark of Rebellion, winning more than others. Out of a possible eighteen, ten take the edge over the other Leaders in the set.
There are many heroes and villains in Star Wars, and all of them have their own strengths and weaknesses as well. This is translated into the game, and the Leaders are based on specific moments from the franchise. The subtitles and Aspect of the Leaders often give players a hint as to what part of the Star Wars timeline this version of the character is based on.
While this list is ranked, the highest three on the list could all easily be number one at any given point, and all three have a high win rate.

New Star Wars Game Teased By Surprising Actor From The Movies
One veteran Star Wars movie actor teases that he's currently working on an unannounced video game set in the beloved galaxy far, far away.
10 Emperor Palpatine: Galactic Ruler
Command/Villainy
While he’s the most dangerous threat to the galaxy, Emperor Palpatine is lower on the list than he would like to be. He will struggle against Aggression in play, but he has higher control and is interesting to play.
He also has access to Force cards that can help control against rush decks, and if he survives long enough, his ability when he comes out can take control of another player’s Unit and gain a draw ability when other players might have run out of cards near the end of the game.
9 Chirrut Imwe: One With The Force
Vigilance/Heroism
Giving players some extra health for a phase is a good ability, so being able to do that every turn with Chirrut Imwe is quite impressive. He’s also the lowest-cost Force Leader Unit to deploy, and when he does deploy, his ability can make him nearly invincible because he does not die until the action phase ends.
This means if you can add an him or put some health on him, he will not die even if the other player thought they could kill him. This makes Chirrut Imwe quite interesting to play, but not as reliable as others.
8 Han Solo: Audacious Smuggler
Cunning/Heroism
Han has interesting resource management, as he can create extra resources, which are similar to lands in Magic The Gathering. He can play an extra resource every turn, meaning he can get out bigger Units faster, making him harder to deal with for late-game decks.
You do have to defeat a resource at the end of the phase. However, if cards are released that play with the discard pile more, this ability could become way more powerful in the future so keep your eye on this smuggler.
7 Director Krennic: Aspiring To Authority
Vigilance/Villainy
Director Krennic may have lost the battle for the Death Star plans in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but he does have more control in Star Wars Unlimited. Krennic and fellow Leader Jyn Erso have very similar abilities. Krennic gives his Units +1 attack, and Jyn gives opposing Units -1 attack.
The difference, and why he is higher on the list, is that Jyn’s ability triggers once per phase, while his ability is a ive buff that lasts the entire game. Additionally, his deployment ability gives him Restore 2, which guards your Base against rush decks.
Restore means that when a Unit attacks, it heals the player's Base by X amount.

10 Canon Star Wars Characters Who Deserved Far Better
Star Wars has created numerous incredible characters over the years, but some of them deserved much better, particularly with how their story ended.
6 Luke Skywalker: Faithful Friend
Vigilance/Heroism
One of the Leaders currently only found in the Prerelease sets or in the Starter Set, Luke Skywalker is a faithful friend but a formidable foe. Luke’s strength is by protecting his friends, as he gives out Shield tokens to other Heroism Units.
On the front side, this ability costs an action and a resource, while on his deployment side, it’s a free action that happens when he attacks. This can mean he has a large amount of control and can keep Units around longer, forcing your opponent to find ways around Shields to get those Units off the board.
5 Leia Organa: Alliance General
Command/Heroism
The Command aspect has a lot of powerful ramp and strong Units, so Leia already has a fair amount of things going for her. Additionally, her ability lets two Rebel Units attack in the same action, meaning she can hit hard and fast like a more aggressive deck.
On her other side, she has Raid 1 and attacks with two Rebel Units, letting her have the advantage of two large swings in one go. In Twin Suns, similar to Magic The Gathering’s Commander format, Leia can shine even more by allowing you to attack with two Rebel Leader Units in one action.
4 Darth Vader: Dark Lord Of The Sith
Aggression/Villainy
Darth Vader is the second of the Starter Set Leaders, and he is a big one to beat. With the Aggression Aspect, he can send out a lot of Units fast and keep your opponent busy in the early game. Although he can’t deploy as fast as Sabine Wren or the other Aggression Leaders, when he does deploy, he is immediately a huge threat that deals extra damage on attack.
The interactions with Force cards are also to his benefit, and this will only get better as more for Force Units comes in Star Wars Unlimited.
3 Iden Versio: Inferno Squad Commander
Vigilance/Villainy
Again, one of the current favorite picks from the community, this deck by YouTuber KTOD is doing very well in the online TTI League. Iden favors a control deck but has to ramp faster than she would normally, which is where the extra resource ramp from the Command Aspect in the example comes in handy.
This is a heavy control deck, which features heavy hitters like the sought-after Legendary Darth Vader and the Devastator ship.

Boba Fett's Most Brutal Weapon Proves He Was Even More Merciless Than Darth Vader
The most cruel weapon in Boba Fett’s arsenal is so brutal that even Vader hesitated to allow him to use it, and Star Wars has finally explained why.
2 Boba Fett: Collecting The Bounty
Cunning/Villainy
Boba Fett has a lot of capacity to be a commanding Leader and is certainly in contention for the top places. He has a huge Mid-range deck that, if played right, can put out big Units earlier than most due to his resource management.
His ability lets you ready resources, and this is useful for you - and devastating to opponents. This can make him a good leader for Draft formats and Premier play, but be sure to check out the Decktech by KTOD for a full deck guide.
1 Sabine Wren: Galvanized Revolutionary
Aggression/Heroism
Sabine is a rush aggression Leader that can outrun some of the heavier-hitting Leaders. Sabine can come out fast and hit hard and buff up the cheaper cost Units that will dominate the battlefield. There’s only one Legendary in the current deck built by BobbySapphire featured on the KTOD YouTube channel, making it a cheaper deck to get your hands on.
Additionally, Sabine clears the top of the list as she also dominates Limited play, such as Draft games of Star Wars Unlimited, as well as the multiplayer format called Twin Suns.
