Reynolds' Deadpool is the only superhero not being rebooted.
Holland, meanwhile, first came to prominence on the stage and a ing role in The Impossible alongside Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. It was being cast as Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) in the MCU, however, that catapulted him to true acclaim and popularity. The fate of the Web-Slinger is currently up in the air, following Spider-Man: Far From Home's writers also returning.
Both actors have amassed hugely popular social media presences over the years, often engaging with fans and promoting films in truly unique ways. Reynolds, especially, has seemingly cornered the market regarding online self-promotion. This was not only evidenced by his work behind the scenes on Deadpool but also his viral videos for Detective Pikachu. An Instagram by the name of Hystu01, however, opted to combine the star-power of both actors into a hilarious image of Reynolds proclaiming his love for Holland. Check out the original image below:
Reynolds quickly caught wind of the new meme. In his own inimitable style, he quickly added it to an Instagram story, proclaiming it "obviously photoshop". He added, however, that it being a doctored image doesn't mean that the love isn't real. Holland concurred in an Instagram story of his own, posting that "photoshop never lies". Each of the actor's posts can be seen below:
Anyone who's watched Reynolds jokily announced that it may not happen. Outside of their superhero commitments, both Reynolds and Holland have a number of projects in the pipeline.
The former has both Netflix's Onward. There's every chance, following those, that the actors will ultimately work together. Still, it'll no doubt be the unorthodox superhero partnership that fans are truly eager for. Whatever happens, though, the Spider-Man and Deadpool bromance will at least occur in real-life if not on the big screen.
